Good cover overall. Hard to put on unless you do it exactly right, but once on, it helps to diffuse the light and smooth things out. Simple addition with a good effect. Not perfect, but a good effect for the cost.

This is more of a dimmer than a diffuser. It sits pressed against the light so it doesn't really diffuse it, it just makes it slightly less bright. I find I have better results by adjusting my actual ring light settings, but if that isn't an option for you then this might be useful.Also, it doesn't really fit well. If you put it on correctly the elastic around the ring pulls the fabric so that it covers the back well instead of the front, but if you turn it around it doesn't stay on and the black elastic tabs will be placed over the light. The black elastic tabs are too long and too loose. I cut and sewed mine to make them pull the fabric so it covers the front of the ring light. It's definitely not worth putting that work into it.I wish there were better pictures on the listing because it's hard to see what you're buying. I'm sure I can't return this now that I've cut it up and thrown away the packaging, but I find it useless so I will donate it to someone who doesn't have light settings on their ring light and buy an actual softbox diffuser that's sized to fit on a ring light. Lesson learned. Trying to be cheap and save money always results in wasted money. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Simple yet effective diffusion filter, the setup is basic. The clear cover slips right over the ring light with an elastic lining that fits over the front and straps around the back with the velcro snaps for a tight grip fit. The wrinkled cloth doesn't effect the lighting so it can be balled up, folded, or squished. Turns my ring light into my own soft box and saves me from having to buy a whole other light to achieve that color temperature and tone. Takes the quality lighting from my ring light and takes it on a whole other level. Works well even at the lowest setting.

Definitely softens the light. My ring light doesn't have a dimmer so I can't really change the intensity of the light but with this cover it really dilutes the brightness and gives me better light to work with. Reduces harshness and shadows and makes it look like one ring of light instead of seeing all the individual LEDs. Fits my 18 inch well, the velcro fastens to really seal tight and stay on the light. That being said, this cover is easy to attach and works well, great for ring lights.

I like Neewer for offering the cheapest possible photo equipment while remaining above a minimum level of quality for utility. Some options are cheaper, but will fall apart or just not work. Neewer is never going to last a lifetime, but you can always trust it to work for you for a long time.This item is no exception. The diffuser material is perfect, and it works, and that's really all that matters. The cords inside around the ring, and the Velcro straps are a bit cheap, but they're functional.Works very well with my DIY LED ring light (type that into YouTube and you'll find about ten videos doing the same project). The important bit: it will fit one of these DIY ring lights even if you use an 18" wreath frame (which has a 12" inner diameter). The item description here says it fits an 18" outer and 14" inner diameter light, but because the DIY LED light project is so flat compared to a "real" ring light, it will still fit. I have it on my 18"/12" ring light and it fits perfectly and diffuses the light just enough to go from a collection of points of light to a more appealing ring of light.
