This natural gas and carbon monoxide detector so far has been a great addition for home safety. Being 100% battery-powered means no need for wiring, making installation quick and hassle-free. The LED display is clear and easy to read, and the audible and visual alerts give peace of mind in case of any leaks. It detects both CO and methane (CH4), which is great for extra protection in kitchens, RVs, and apartments. The included batteries are a nice touch, so it’s ready to go right out of the box. If you’re looking for a reliable and easy-to-install gas detector, this one is a very safe choice.

With installation of appliances which could conceivably produce Carbon Monoxide, I absolutely NEED a dependable detector! This one fits the bill. Comes complete with 3 AAA batteries, that install in a jiffy. Two included mounting screws making mounting a breeze!

Ordered this when I realized our family had no carbon monoxide detection or natural gas on our current detectors.Three AA batteries are included, but getting the back off to put the batteries in took some figuring out. There is a flyer included, but nothing on it about how to open: nothing on the Amazon listing and nothing online. Finally, took a pocket knife thin blade and slid it into the only place it can go. By the way, once you get this open, don't close as you will have to open again to screw the back plate on a wall from the inside and then put the rest of the device onto it.The included flyer, not really instructions, is full of typographical errors. There is a "Product Diagram" with 7 numbered designations which do not appear on the diagram and most of which are not useful anyway.I guess what is true is that I will not know if this works unless some gas leaks and if it doesn't work, could be not so good. The flyer says you can test in a "gas collection bag" by putting gas in along with the detector... probably won't be doing that, if I could. I saw some such bags to buy online, but no way to put this detector into the bag. If it works as tested by the button, the display is good as well as the alert lights.

I just installed this sensor today. Installation was straight forward, about what anyone would expect. Batteries were provided in the package. It tested properly and made loud, annoying beeping noises. The sound made me grimace and I was much happier after the sound died off. It was very alarming.

By all appearances, this is a well-made detector, and I appreciate the LED display and the included battery. When pressing the test button, the detector responds appropriate. However, there was nothing I could do to get it to detect natural gas from my stove. First, I placed it on the counter about 5 feet away from the stove, and lit the stove. As you would expect, nothing happened (good). I then tried turning on the gas without lighting. While I could distinctly smell the odor of the gas, the detector did nothing. I let things air out and tried again... this time holding the detector in various places in proximity of the stove... including directly over the burner. Once again, with the gas on without igniting, nothing at all.Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but really you just want this to work flawlessly. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get it to detect anything. For this reason, I just can't recommend this product.

Absolutely crap! The second I turned it on it started going off reading 140 ppm which is a very dangerous level. I called my gas company freaking out. They came and tested and found nothing and said I must have gotten a faulty detector. It has slowly gone down over the course of the last 48 hours and now reads 50 ppm. Junk. Don’t trust it!
