The instructions included with this unit are basic, but generally comprehensible, but the section on how to zero adjust lack sufficient detail. When I go to zero adjust for each gas (excluding oxygen) there is a number, with no units, displayed. For example, when I select zero adjust and H2S it shows a value around 600. Other gas monitors I use typically show a zero or a very low number during this step, and since the manual for this unit doesn’t explain what the number should be or why it might be high when in a known-normal room, I’m not confident that it is sensing or calibrating correctly.Aside from the concern over its accuracy, this is a basic unit that feels reasonably sturdy without being cumbersome to hold or hook on a belt. It has some annoyances in its use, as to be expected given the price – for example there’s no way to adjust the audio volume, and it returns to the main display after any setting changes which can be annoying since you may have to re-enter the password or push buttons multiple times to get back to where you were. For combustible gases (Ex), I cannot change the high alarm level – it is fixed at 50% LEL. There is also no way to switch between LEL and vol for Ex.Still, overall, despite some minor annoyances if I could be confident this was actually calibrating appropriately I would be probably rate this a four due to its affordability and similar design to higher priced units. Right now, since I can’t seem to zero it, I’m rating it a two. I am going to continue testing this and if I am able to reassure myself of its accuracy I will update my review and rating.

I'm not really savvy with this kind of thing, but I have a gas appliance in my home and wanted a way to test for carbon monoxide. This unit is really simple to use with easy to follow instructions. It comes in a compact little carrying case to protect it and make it easy to store.I was impressed with the simplicity and quality of this device. It functions well and seems accurate, based on comparison with a similar device. Overall, this is a great little tool and a fantastic value.

I purchased this in a hurry when our carbon dioxide/ gas sensor kept going off one night. I was so worried seeing our lower explosive limit at 4% .. luckily this device arrived quick. I was able to locate the problem and put an end to it with no issue and without having to call in someone to do it for a fee. 10/10 would recommend. Pretty straight forward functionality. You can’t put a price on safety

My husband works for the fire department and they have one of these that he was able to compare it to as theirs is commercial quality. He tested it out on a few different gases and said it seemed accurate. He did say it was user friendly and he could deem it trustworthy

This generic 4 gas detector provides a peace of mind at home or workplace with various potentially harmful chemicals. The device comes in a cool mini metallic briefcase with a clip for wearing clothing and charging cable and plug. Using the detector is simple without many menus or settings to navigate. I have several generic gas detectors to check for accuracy of these sensors, and this displays similar levels.

This tool is made well with quality technology, materials, and craftsmanship. Works well and is a super handy tool to have around. Built sturdy and does the job. We have three different gas appliances in the home, none of which are (by design) vented, so I needed some way to check on a regular basis that there is no carbon monoxide building up. The detector set my concerns to rest — no detected buildup.The instructions are thorough and easy to follow/understand — well written.The detector itself comes in a very classy/sturdy case with a handle, so if you need this on the job and need to carry it around, it's going to be well protected in this thoroughly padded case.
