It is easy to work with and available in a wide range of common wire gauges. Tap connectors allow direct tapping into existing solid copper conductors without interrupting service. The pre-crimp feature helps hold the wires in place until the connector is crimped and the splice is completed.

This type of connector is good for tapping into an existing wire. You should be able to open the connector, insert the wire being tapped, insert the tapping wire, then close to complete the connections. These particular ones, however, are so stiff that it's almost impossible to open them far enough to insert the wire being tapped. You can use a flat blade screwdriver to open it, but it just closes when you remove the blade, and it's just as hard to open again.

These connectors are not made for outdoor use on vehicles in the elements unless temporary. They will corrode if not heat shrinked properly! But they do work good for splicing in things you feel comfortable doing and wont overload the system or fuses on that circuit.

These splice connectors work great. They cut through the insulation every time when you close them and they stay closed when you hear the click.%

Does what you need it to do. Just as good as Grote brand.

I like these connectors for splicing into wires with a pair of klien pliers to seat to connecting tab to the proper depth. The two of these together do the job exactly how I expect it to be. We splice a lot in the elevator trade, so I needed some connectors that weren't cheap and would last, I'm happy with these so far.

I have converted over a dozen 8 feet fluorescent fixtures to LED. These taps were integral to the conversions. The main power wires are 14 gage and the taps were 18. These inline taps worked well at splicing them together. I read where some people had issues with the blades bending. I only had that happen 2 times. Those were my fault for applying pressure at an angle other than perpendicular.
