Handy little device. It has a voice. You don't have to " guess.l what voltage is. Perfect.

This replaced a Klein that had a damaged "membrane" over the switches. I wanted "real" buttons that would be tougher. The really cool thing is that this tester has *all* the features- laser *and* flashlight *and* sensitivity ssetting.Picks up GFCI receptacles, but not as well as normal ones.It also beeps, even when off, if its buttons are being held down for too long. Keeps you aware that you're leaning against it, or it's getting mashed in your toolbag. My only complaint is the delay of a few seconds that you have to hold down the power button to turn it on, I would rather it have instant-on.I would also prefer the laser be the instant-on/momentary button press, instead of the flashlight, but that's just my preference.Best value in testers currently out there!

I’m not a pro but I’m renovating my house all by myself as much as possible. I had to bring in a pro for a quick answer to an old wiring issue. He had something similar to this and I discussed it with him. He recommended getting one like his so I did some research and then took a gamble on this one. I don’t have a lot of extra to throw around on trinkets but the price was fair as long as I got a decent product. I’m actually impressed by it. I’d recommend it to any weekend warrior doing small electrical or just a homeowner who needs to see what wires are live while doing nearby work.Be safe out there.

I was looking for a device that would change its tone based on the amount of power at a given distance. This unit seems to have two settings for a NCVT. I will have to make my own to do that due to the price point of devices that will give me the performance I am after. This device will find uses for me and I expect it will perform.
