I have had my Mt Diablo chisels for a couple of weeks now and am happy with my purchase. They look and feel very nice and the tool bag is a quality holder as well but the best part is that they work better than they look. I like that they are longer than most other chisels I have used and appreciate the edge they hold after sharpening. Would buy again

Visually I love them. They come super sharp. But once I got them on the job I found they chip/dull very quickly :/ I was just taking a 4 in. section out of timber strand and had little pieces of the blade missing.

I have to say that I am super impressed with the Mt Diablo chisel set I recently purchased. I was looking for a travel set for when I go to job sites and chose the MtD set because I liked the bag and the other reviews said that when sharpened they were nice.They were not wrong, these chisels are substantial and handle and feel just as nice (I wont go so far as to say better) than some of my much more expensive chisels. They are sharp enough to shave with and are turning out to be real work horses. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good set of chisels without spending a ton of money!

My former divorce attorney was a chiseler, but he wasn’t very sharp. Neither were these chisels out of the box. I had to re-sharpen them, but now that I have done so, I have to believe that they will hold up fine. The ad copy says that they are RC-60-62. If so, that is good. A hand file would be about RC 63-65. I already mentioned the edge conditions as received. Another “con” in the pros and cons discussion would be the ash wood handle. My good set of chisels has the same ash handle, but also has a steel cap on the end so that the handle will not be damaged by the hammer or mallet. Granted, soft mallets are recommended, I still like the steel protector. I would consider the leather tool pouch to be a nice “pro” as this will protect the chisels from clanging around and getting dull as a result.

I'm really impressed with the quality at this price point. Came out of the box decently sharp, a little time honing and they were slicing end grain with ease. Would definitely recommend!

I am happy with the product. I like the quality of the chisels, the tips are nice and sharp and appear to be be very well made. The wood handles are solid and I really like the brass ring on the end that will prevent splitting when I hit these with a wooden or rubber mallet. I highly recommend this set.

I am impressed with how nice this set of chisels and bag are for the money. They came sharp and ready to use, the handles are super comfortable, and the bag is a nice addition. I give them two thumbs up!
