This chisel set is wonderful for engraving wood and other soft materials! It is lightweight and compact and comes with a nice leather roll for transporting. I'm very pleased with the quality and value of this set and recommend it to other DIYers and hobbyists.

These are very cheaply made. The first time we tried to use them on a piece of rock they bent and were not usable. And they actually advertise these as rock chisels

My use for chisels have always been around needing to carve just a bit of wood out of the way when building something, or to create a square hole.The carving chisel was working so great I decided to try my hand at the smiley face in the picture. While it won't go winning any awards, for a first attempt I'm pretty happy with it. I started out just testing the chisel, but it's performance quickly encouraged me to experiment and go for it.The other chisels performaned as expected. Nothing spectacular, but a lot better than my bargain bin set I've been using. I like the options of sizes in this set, it'll allow me much more precision when I need it.These chisels are solid metal, single piece construction. Theres no plastic handle involved, so your hammer taps go straight into the wood. Once you dial yourself into that, the amount of control you gain is awesome.After trying these out, nearly every chisel was still sharp and in one piece. One chisel somehow lost a chip right in the blade, and that already was the chisel I used the least in my testing. I chalk it up to happenstance, but it does leave a bit of doubt whether or not the others will similarly chip early on.For under $20USD at the time of this review, I'd take the chance on this set. The value is definitely there, and the performance is great. If I lose one or two to chipping, then that leaves 6-7 other chisels to fill in for the lost ones.I give this chisel set a cautionary recommendation, at least until I use it more in the future.
