Blades are 4 5/8" to 6 1/2" long. Handles are stained European Hornbeam and are 5 1/2” long. Overall sizes range in length from 9 7/8” to 12”.Widths are available from 6 mm to 50 mm. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs. Handles have a solid brass ferrule to withstand vigorous mallet work. These chisels are an excellent value in a good quality tool.

I have a regular Narex which arrived with the tip skewed to one side. This arrived in perfect condition. Only took a few minutes to polish the bottom then sharpened the blade razor sharp.

This chisel flattens and sharpens acceptablly well and holds an edge properly. I am very pleased.

I have a YouTube channel, Forest Woodworks, and I plan on using this chisel in my content. Admittedly, and sadly, I haven't done a ton of hand tool woodworking quite yet because my content has focused on restoring a vintage Walker-Turner table saw, but if Paul Sellers can make fine furniture for the White House using Aldi chisels, I'm sure this will work beautifully once properly initialized. I do, however, love the feel of the handle and overall the chisel seems well balanced, which I found after doing some test pearing. Can't wait to use it for real! Go Forest Woodworks on YouTube, go! It's ya birthday (actually, almost tho)!

I have only bought 2 Narex chisels, a 2" and an 1/8" because they were specialty chisels that I did not have. I don't own any really high end chisels like Lie-Nielsen or Veritas but for my money these Narex chisels are a great buy. They take and hold a keen edge and are easier to sharpen than some of my other chisels. I would buy again.

Narex, makes very nice tools. This one is quite nice, but it was damaged during shipping. It was packed fairly well, but it must have been dropped and landed just right to take a chip out of the edge. You can see a divot on the protective edge guard also, so I guessed a drop rather than anything else. Not gonna send it back though. It'll lose about 1/8" of metal, but there it is.

Needed just the barest hint of sharpening out of the packaging to be wicked, razor sharp. Has been holding its edge superbly. Absolutely fantastic chisel for getting into tight/deep/narrow spaces. If I didn't have a set of standard irwin marples and a set of japanese chisels already, I'd jump on a whole set of Narex in a heartbeat. Unbelievable value for money.

I started with a Narex mortise chisel, and when I realized I needed some more narrow chisels, Narex was the brand that came to mind. The handles are sturdy and light. They're comfortable to hold and grip easily.I bought the 3mm and 5mm chisels. They both came with a bit of laquer on the tips, I'm assuming for protection. About 5 scrapes with 1000 grit sandpaper on every side will get it off.The chisels came sharp. Not quite sharp enough for my taste as I prefer a razor sharp, polished edge. However, with both 3mm and 5mm sizes I could still shave off wood, even with the lacquer on. I probably spent no more than 10 minutes on each chisel getting it to my preferred sharpness.

These chisels are fantastic! The handles feel very comfortable and the balance is excellent. Right out of the box, they performed well, but after a few minutes of honing, they did great with paring and fine detail work. I particularly like the thin blades with good taper; that really helps with dovetails. I have a set of the new Irwin Marples, which are very good, but these Narex chisels surpass them for feel and touch. Steel strength and how well they hold an edge is about the same, but I think the thinner blades help them cut through the wood more easily.
