This chisel works well to easily square off a hinge mortise. You do need to give it a good couple of taps.

Just got it no chance yet to try chisel is solid and seems well made and very sharp. Has a nice heft to it. Will review again after a few uses. Will possibly give 5 stars after trying

I build an occasional guitar as a side hustle, including fixed-neck Les Pauls (a '57 Junior in this case). Some of the designs call for a square neck pocket. Carving out a 1/2" routed corner is within my skill set, but is time consuming and easy to mess up. I thought I would try one of these corner chisels to see if they would cut square and not leave marks on the body. It definitely worked. The pocket is much deeper than the chisel's blade, but cleaning up the remaining router-round near the bottom, using the corner chisels cut as a guide was fast and easy - it's also an area where an "oops" doesn't really matter as it would be hidden by the glued-in neck.Very happy with this corner chisel.

As a professional carpenter/door hanger, I use my corner chisels quite a bit. This one is by far the best one I've ever used. It is extreamly sharp.
