Very disappointed. I install on a 1958 chevy pickup with a 700R4 transmission. It mounted up nice and worked for a couple of test start ups. This is a truck under construction. Didn't try to start for about four months while making custom exhaust. When I completed the exhaust, I went to start it and would not start. Traced it down to the switch that now doesn't work. Tested with multi tester and nothing. Tried everything to diagnose why switch quit, no luck, just went bad. To late to return now. Hope seller comes through with a replacement, if so, I would give a 5 star. But for now 2 is max I can give.

I just installed this switch on my TH400 with a floor shifter (cable style). Install took 15 minutes, including wiring. Wiring is not included in kit.Switch works perfectly. Bracket and actual switch are sturdy and should last a long time. Great way to add neutral safety switch to an old hotrod.I will buy again.

I wrote a long review stating that it wouldn’t work. That was before the transmission was in the truck. I’m not sure if it’s actually going to work. I mounted the switch tight against the shift linkage. I then had to grind away metal from the shift arm and rod until I was able to get the switch to be on in park and neutral. It took a lot of crawling under and out to grind a little, remark it and grind a little more until the switch worked the way I wanted. The switch has to be all the way in, and I mean all the way in before it makes a connection. Because of this I’m concerned that any give or movement will cause my neutral switch to not work. It’s installed, it works on the ohmmeter, but hasn’t been tested real world. I don’t think most people will have the means or patience to mount it the way I did. I believe a different linkage might work better. If you have the same linkage that I do, it’s going to be work.Good luck.Update; I’ve probably started the truck 20-30 times since I installed this. Only once did it not start at first, I had to wiggle the shift handle. I think it hadn’t fully fallen back into the park position. It seems to work.

Same kit that is more expensive depending on who you buy from. Bolted right up to a TH400 transmission that already had a Lokar shifter. I don't know how it would work with an original linkage. It came with bushings to get the shifter to mount lower than the lip on the transmission pan.Knocked it one star because it was supposed to come with both metric and imperial bolts but my kit only had four metric bolts. Not the first time I've ordered a knock off where the quality control on packaging had an oops. I had the bolts I needed but even if I didn't a couple of bolts would not have cost much compared to the savings over buying the name brand part.

Needed modification to work on a turbo 350 trans. Worked fine after a couple of hours refitting.

The bracket is incorrectly designed. All the bolts in my kit were metric. I tried to save a few bucks. In the end I bought the lokar kit. Fit perfectly. Correct hardware and the quality was way more superior. Well worth the extra cost.
