I purchased this Motorola MD1600 DSL modem through Amazon from the vendor Techproz as an upgrade to my current and working Verizon-provided Actiontec DSL modem.The Amazon-renewed MD1600 arrived promptly and in like-new condition, with all the necessary cables and a DSL filter. In every respect that I could determine the modem was functional. The modem’s logs even showed that it was able to connect to my ISP, which is Verizon.Unfortunately, due to an “Invalid session key” error, I wasn’t able to log into my Verizon account and I had to return the MD1600. Motorola tech support was extremely helpful. Verizon tech support was moderately helpful regarding some general connection issues but advised that it couldn’t help me resolve problems involving a non-Verizon provided modem.I really liked the MD1600’s user interface. The modem provided a largely automatic configuration process along with a more detailed manual configuration process. One of the drop down menus during the automatic configuration included a selection for Verizon, among various other ISPs.The MD1600’s log reports could be configured with various options.
