I had a Motorola modem before this, that had about 300/mbps. My internet was rated for a gig, so I figured this modem would be a good switch. Easy install, hasn't had a single issue yet. My internet had been going down often with the other one, now I'm getting 150/mbps (had been getting 10) on WiFi, and it hasn't gone down.

After years of renting equipment from Xfinity, I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase my own modem-router combo — the Netgear CAX30. My main motivation was to eliminate those pesky rental fees, and it has certainly been worth it! Setting up the Netgear CAX30 was a breeze. One of the standout features for me is the ability to configure my own WiFi settings. This level of control has been a game-changer, allowing me to customize my network to suit my specific needs. Performance-wise, this device has exceeded my expectations. With my ISP's 1 gig plan, I consistently experience download speeds between 880 and 900 Mbps, which is more than double what I was getting with Xfinity’s equipment. The reliability and speed have significantly improved my daily internet activities, from streaming and gaming to work-related tasks. Overall, the Netgear CAX30 has been a fantastic investment. Where do I begin.. First off setup was a breeze. Second off, the companion app is a must. It allows you to have full control of every single device that is connected to the network. From automatic 2/5g switching based on your location in your home, this ensures you have the best speed and connectivity wherever you are. I currently have a 100mb/s plan and have noticed speeds higher than that. Netgear is holding up their end of the bargain and if I ever have to bump up my speeds when I have family visit, I can rest easy knowing this modem/router will definitely keep up. Just buy it already. You won't regret it. I know I don't.

I purchased the AX2700 Wi-Fi Cable modem router CAX30) to replace my nine-year-old Arris cable modem router. The Nighthawk has so far exceeded my expectations. The interface is user friendly, and setup was easy. The Wi-Fi 2.4gand 5g signal strength is strong and have not had any dropped signals.

I was renting my modem from Mediacom. After I had upgraded to their newest model, I had nothing but issues. My speeds had dropped significantly (as low as 25Mbps), and the modem would disconnect several times a day. I spent 2 weeks with Mediacom trying to fix the issue, but nothing they did worked. I was starting to get frustrated because I was paying for services and equipment that were not working. I work from home a couple of days a week, so I need reliable internet. I had decided to stop renting and buy the Netgear Nighthawk AX6. It was very easy to set up with Mediacom, and it only took a couple of minutes to set up with the Mediacom app. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, and it was worth the money! I have the gigabit plan. My speeds have been consistently around 900Mbps, and the modem/router has been very reliable. You can download the Nighthawk app and use it to revoke access to any connected device, pause the internet on any connected device, check your speeds, check your data usage, reboot the modem, and even create a guest WiFi with a different password. You can access your network remotely with the app. It also has a “Smart Connect” option, automatically selecting the fastest WiFi band for every device. I’m very happy with this modem and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from renting one from their provider or if you’re looking to upgrade.

We recently bought a NetGear Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi 5 model and could handle our 500mb plan no problem. But me and my fiancée being avid gamers and running 2 consoles at the same time, we would lag quite a bit. We upgraded to a 1000mb plan with Xfinity and realized the old modem only could take up to 800mb so we were getting around 200mb of packet loss and lag spikes. I’m sorry if this is all fancy terminology so please feel free to google the terms if you need. If you’re still with me, this modem supports up to 2700mb which give us the necessary cushion if we ever upgrade to an even higher plan. It’s really nice to have and the app makes it so nice and simple to name and differentiate all the different devices linked to your WiFi to make sure you don’t have any straggling devices. It’s obv a wireless connection and getting this for only 255$ instead of the retail 380$ was a steal! I know a lot of people complain about the value for money and it being too expensive, but I got a great deal around the holidays and got a discount since it came later than expected (only by 2 days) so I’m not complaining at all. Such a huge chance in comparison to the only Nighthawk. Even comes with a 90 vulnerability scan of all devices that connect to it which is awesome! Buy with no hesitation and if you’re a bit tech savvy it should be pretty easy to set up. And if you find it around the 300$ mark, even better! Hope this helps someone in need. Cheers!

Setup was very straightforward with the Nighthawk app, walked me thru every step, waited while I activated via Xfinity app (I already owned a modem/router so no need to call Xfinity to cancel a lease, the app handled it all), no hiccups at all. Was a little concerned about older reviews that talked about an update that really messed up the CAX30, but maybe that's been fixed, b/c no issues and it is now one week later and everything is working great. Only confusion was on the box itself, nowhere did it say CAX30, except on a label that had been applied to one side. The box said it was an AX6 and also had the number AX2700. Once I opened it, it showed CAX30 on the Quickstart manual. Very satisfied with my purchase!
