I use these to create custom colors for guitars, I buy a gallon of clear and then I can make any color I want saves me a bundle on having to have paint mixed for each project.

I'm sure this is a fine product for mixing with paints/varnishes, but it DOES NOT mix with at least one popular Epoxy Resin, Solarez. Based on Sepp Leaf (Mixol manufacturer) advertising, I was led to believe it could color literally everything. My resin mold was ruined. Days after proper amount of heat/calalyst, etc. the Solarex remained in a sticky uncured state.

By buying cheap maintenance paint and mixing this stuff in with a bit of glue, you can literally save thousands of bucks and get dozens of colorful gallons out of this set. My garden looks awesome. Also, next year I'm going to mix it into some white tractor paint and see how it does on my old pickup. I have a feeling it will do just fine especially with a coat of clear coat to finish things off. Anyway very cost-effective and surprisingly good and apparently durable quality so far

Great tint. It never dries out and comes in many colors with this kit But a big drawback is that the label is in German and two other languages but not an English

These are described as the best universal tints available, and I quite agree. I've owned Mixol tints for several years and they have remained stable through heat and cold temperatures. They never dry out. they are highly pigmented so it is a challenge to use the tiniest amount to tint a product. I have used them with water and oil based mediums for wall paint, faux finishing glazes, and oil based stains. I refinished 25 doors in my home that had unfinished hardwoods. I either painted them with water based latex, water based milk paint, water based glaze (antiquing), or oil based stains. The tints are really universal. I wanted to stain some of my doors in a darker "espresso" color than what was available by General Finishes products, but in oil based colors it wasn't dark enough. So I used the black color tint to get just the right brown/black. I had to make a total of three batches since the cans available were so small. But it wasn't hard at all to get the right blend to match the rest. I didn't even measure it exactly. I especially like the set for "woodworking" because it makes it easier to deepen stain colors. There is a learning curve so you need to understand basic color theory, but there are templates available to mix proper hues, tones and shades. It is a lot of fun experimenting with color. I almost never use store paint without modifying a portion of a color so that I can add depth to a wall by changing the intensity of a color. Enjoy!

These are the best on the market. I use then in wood working and like staining wood. It makes them look natural. Thanks
