Easily use either a small or large amount of paint, eliminates messy pouring as well as paint getting into the rim of the can and drying there and also the messy task of taking the metal lid on and off. Apparently quart size paint cans are not totally all the same exact dimensions, but so far I have not had one where this doesn't fit. Some fit slightly better, but they all work so far.

I ordered these lids for some quart-sized Behr Premium Plus acrylic paint and primer. I was concerned about them fitting after reading some of the reviews but here’s what I found.The first can I just tried putting the lid on the can any old way and had a very tough time getting the lid on. I almost gave up and returned them but then I thought I would try something different, and it worked perfectly. I placed the spout towards the front of the can, as shown in the photos, then I pushed down from the back to the front going from side to side until the front popped on. I repeated this for all 5 cans and they all went easily and smoothly without effort. Then to make 100% sure they were on good and tight, I gently taped around the rim with a rubber mallet.I then tried to see how difficult it is to remove the lids. Just lifting it off with my hands proved to be a bit difficult, so I lifted just the front of the lid, placed a small-sized flat head screwdriver underneath and just moved it around the can . This method proved to be easy and effortless. Then just remember to wipe off any paint you may have gotten on your screwdriver. That’s it!

I love how these things make pouring paint so much easier and prevents messes. However, they are sometimes hard to get on some of the cans. I have to fiddle with them in some cases to get them on and to STAY on (so be careful if you shake or pour right away or you might end up with paint everywhere). And I haven't been able to find the quart size in the stores, so I am glad I found it here.

I wanted a lid and pour spout that would help get paint into my Wagner Paint Sprayer, this was exactly what I needed.

The product says not to use with oil base paints but all the paints I've used that are water based have a slightly wider mouth so these don't fit.I'm reying them out on the oil based cans since that's all I can get them to fit on. So far no issues but it hasn't been to long and I expect them to not last.
