This kit can be purchased with a probe-style temperature sensor or with a 1/8" NPT thread-in sensor to fit the needs of any project. The Mishimoto Fan Controller features adjustable activation from 150 degrees Fahrenheit to 240 degrees Fahrenheit and deactivates once temperatures are reduced by 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Purchased the product during summer. Install went super well and it worked as it should for a couple months. Then the fans stopped working entirely. The weather was getting colder and my truck wasn't overheating without them so I let it be for a bit. A couple weeks later my radio wouldn't turn off anymore even with the truck off. After a bit of diagnosing I found that the controller had internally shorted and therefore was powering the accessories power I had it spliced into. Checked the "Lifetime warranty" Mishimoto offers and it's 80$ USD to send the product in for warranty. Since I had already configured all the wiring for this kit I decided to buy another one instead so I didn't have to wait as long and I'd have a new controller. They then decided to send me an open package! Everything in the box had already been opened and was all disorganized along with the controller being scratched and the relay halfway in. Very disappointed in Mishimoto and Amazon. I installed the "new" controller in last night, hoping this one actually works for a while.

I'm so fed up with poor quality causing service failures in spite of my own best efforts.-fan control uses poor quality connectors and it is extremely difficult to plug in and align all of the blades while plugging it in.Blade's conflict with internal sockets.A simple plug in turned into an hour of fumbling around to achieve marginal results.Extremely disappointing.

Definitely pricey but it’s nice and has everything I needed to install the fan. The plug on the relay was a bit difficult to get snapped together and I wish there were numerical indicators on the temperature sensor adjustment but overall, a good buy

Paired this kit with the mishimoto slim 12 inch fan.Works flawlessly! Instructions leave a bit to be desired. If you plan it out, watch a couple YouTube videos on this kit, and research a good ignition signal location for your application, you are set.The thermostat settings were surprisingly easy to set up as well!With a lifetime warranty, and a good reputation, I believe my vehicle is in good hands. Florida summer traffic jams are no longer a stress, and my AC seems to be working even better and cooler!

I was using a coolant sensor to control my electric fan on my 83 mustang. I could not get a reliable sensor that would work and not keep the fan running all of the time after getting up to temp. I purchased this kit and just adjusted it to my thermostat opening temp and it works great. Running down the highway the fan shuts off and lets air speed cool the radiator then when I get into town at lower speeds it kicks on and cools down just like it is supposed to !Great thing to use if you are running an electric fan.

Let see wiring this up was no problem especially since I had better connectors, so I didn't have to use the ones they send. However, I feel that the main thing this kit lack's is a printed dial so you know where the temperature is set. It was a hassle to get both fans to run at the same time and to cycle as close as possible. Although I must say that's the only reason I gave it a 4star. None the less they work well.

Installed this in my BMW E38 as part of my replacing the horrible OEM mechanical fan with an electric one. It was very easy to install and set to trigger at the correct temperature and it came with everything I needed, including a fuse.

i install two 6.5" spal fans on this controller and they work just fine. i emailed the company asking about if they will work with two 12" and and they do! amazing controller. also the sensor is easy to install and easy to adjust. the only flawless in the controller that the wires connector the plugs on the controller melted a bit, maybe because I'm keeping the controller in the fusebox and my v8 runs very hot. overall a great controller to buy for your fans
