Great replacement, be aware only one wire for power to lights so both come on and off at the same time.Original receiver had 2 wit=res to correspond to hand controllers two light buttons. Replacement-either continued for 2 years, it would do strange things. Replacement worked perfectly from the star and has worked fine for two weeks. Replacement works with F702 or F701

I have had many Minka-Aire ceiling fans in the past. They are very quality fans. Very quiet running, easy to put up. The add on remote kit from Minka-Aire makes the fans that much better. The add on kit is easy to install also. Big large buttons on the remote.

We have installed several Minka Aire fans and Minka Lavery lights in our homes for years. We really like their products and this remote is no exception. Easy to install and use. Much nicer looking than the "universal" fan controls. Device was delivered on time and in excellent condition.

We needed to replace the receiver inside the fan and with doing so - had to use this pair - receiver and remote. We noticed that this remote does not have a reverse button on the bottom of the circle to reverse the direction of the blades. I threw a question out there in Amazon and got responses to use the reverse button (frustrating answer since it doesn't exist). I called Minka Aire and they told me to by the RCS212 remote and said it has to be purchased in addition to this set. That would put me over $90 to recertify this situation. Luckily we discovered that you can start with the fan on and use the switch on the wall to turn the fan off three times in a row so "switch off, switch on" 3x. The third and final time the fan will change direction. You are all welcome! Amazon is a hard place sometimes to find good solid information. Also we were able to upgrade from a halogen to an led light bulb w/the change (prior receiver -no LEDs worked)! Good deal!

This remote works perfectly - it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I recommend this remote. They should come automatically with each fan.

My old fan/light unit was hit by a power surge. I actually had an electrician check it out since other electrical items were affected. I ordered this as a replacement and got it fast. So the "easy to install" rating was because I already had an electrician doing work on the house. But he said it really was easy, and it certainly works as well as the original.

A brief electrical power surge that made my household lights flicker on and off several times took out my Minka Aire ceiling fan's receiver. I pulled the cover off the electrical connection on the fan and found a receiver model number CFR-3T. I searched for the model number on Amazon and this one popped up. The receiver in this kit has a different model number but appears to be a direct replacement. It fits and works just fine. The instructions that came with the unit were clearly written and It was easy to install. White wires to white wires - black wires to black wires - blue wire to blue wire. Easy peasy! The one gotcha that I discovered AFTER I installed the receiver was that the hand-held transmitter does not have a fan reverse button. My bad for not paying enough attention when I ordered it. Fortunately, my old transmitter worked just fine with the new receiver. I have an extra transmitter if anybody wants it. ;-)

The system does not have a reverse on it to make the fan spin upwards. I wanted to try it, but it was pointless. I made a mistake purchasing this.
