These remotes are definitely worth the buy. They turned my regular ceiling fans into ones that I can operate easily with a remote control. Please note that even though they are a smaller size than some remotes, they can still be difficult to fit inside certain fans. We had to make adjustments in order to get it to fit in inside one of our fans. Other than that, I would certainly recommend them.

We order this universal remote kit for a new outdoor ceiling fan we had installed on our patio becasue it is hot in Texas. The receiver was easy to install and worked as advertised. All the features works without issues and has a zero delay response, which we absolutely love since we often times just sit outside for 2 hours or so. The remote buttons are big and makes it easy to turn the fan and lights on/off, and supprts all 4 fan speeds: High/Medium/Low/OFF and 4 timers: 1/2/4/8 hours - all at the push of one button. We have not install the app yet, but we are looking forward to it since has additional capabilities like programming for 1 to 12 hours, and can be used at the same time: Remote control, APP, Voice - compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant allowing you to monitor and control your fan through your Smartphone using the SMART LIFE App. Plus the App is free and does not have any recurring fees or monthly costs. Winner!!

This remote fit one of my ceiling fans without a problem and the other did not fit as the fan did not have enough space in the box for the controller. but in the other fan fit and works like a dream.

Great concept, but poor execution. This device will allow you to control your fan and light remotely and/or via Alexa or Google Home. Getting this device into pairing mode requires either a series of light switch operations or simultaneous remote control button presses (light on/off button and high at the same time). This is not stated in the instructions, so it was very frustrating to sift through hundreds of reviews to discover this.Once the device is paired linking it to Alexa is easy. And everything works great, UNTIL you are sitting in the livingroom with your family and the light in the front room comes on, all by itself. Ok, that was strange, "Alexa, turn off the front room light". The light goes out and on with family movie night. Until it comes back on 15 minutes later. Hmmmm, strange and a little worrying. Later on I noticed that while stilling in the front room the fan randomly turned itself on low when it was on high. Now I am really paying attention and over the course of a few weeks I notice a bunch of random on or off events, sometimes light, sometimes fan. Sometimes the random event is either dimming the light or changing fan speed. Reading more into the reviews there are others with this same complaint. Rather than fight this I am now looking for a smart ceiling fan that matches our decor, then this controller can go in the trash where it belongs. Unless you are a fan of haunted electronics, don't buy this item.

This review is for the light dimmer version: The installation is as expected: need to know how to connect the wires, fits inside the ceiling cover (A little tight). Works perfectly with SmartLife/Tuya app and integrates flawlessly with Alexa. I found no issues or any difficulty in adding them to the Smart Life App (And they will automatically show up in Alexa if the accounts are already linked). The remote control works well, although getting to the desired dimming level is a little challenging (Hold down the button nd release when the desired level is reached); this is more easily done using the Smart Life app.Removed one star because the light will always turn on after an outage (even if very short), and this is annoying while sleeping. Other products include an option in the app for what status is desired after power returns (i.e. stay off / stay on / last state), but this option is not available in this controller, and the vendor indicated they have no plans to update the firmware with this function. For those that leave a switch to turn on or off the light, this behavior might be useful (i.e. turn on the light when walking into the room), but that defeats the purpose of having a remote control, if the switch is turned off, then there is no power to the fan or the light at all). Also, these do not provide an option for scheduling in the Smart Life app (But can do it in Alexa)I had purchased previously the non-dimming controllers for other fans in the house, and those DO remain off after a power outage. This version does provide an option for scheduling in the Smart Life app.

I'll try to keep this short and to the pointPros: Affordable, Easy to Install, Zero Fan Hum, Easy pairing, seamless integration with Alexa and Google with full control of both the fan and light using voice plus an RF remote for the less tech savvy.Cons:. The dimmer box is big and barely cleared the top of the rotating part of my fan assembly but with some zip ties pulled tight I made it work but of course your millage will vary depending on your fan type.Detailed Summary.I have three identical fans in my home, last year I bought the much more expensive Lutron Fan controller so that I could be a slob and not have to get up to pull the chain. Installation of that was easy as it was just a switch change but it offered zero lighting control and my fan hums like crazy using it. Like you can feel it on the ceiling. So I only installed it on one of the fans.Fast forward and I changed out the lights on all three fans from one that used little dinky candalebra bulbs to a 4 light monster that used regular A19 bulbs and this made them so much brighter to the point I needed a dimmer when it was dark out. I was looking for a product that was Alexa capable and had fan and dimmer control and came across this product. It was easy to pair and install except getting it mounted in the housing. It's a decent size unit but if you work it you can zip to it in place. I love how I can dim the lights, turn them off and set the fan speed using the remote, the app or my voice and best part there is no need to have two lower leads going to the fan and their is ZERO fan hum.I'm going to order a third one of these modules and rule out the expensive Lutron one because this one is so much better because it doesn't hum.
