This is an excellent unit. I like that fact that it is powered by a 9 volt battery. My previous unit failed and I replaced it with this one. I had mine professionally installed due to the height of the ceiling. It took only half an hour to exchange the previous unit with the new one. Ir will work with Hampton Bay and other similar fans. I easily controlls the lights and three-speed fan. I highly recommend it.

My beautiful fan works again with this new part. It came quickly and it was easy to install. Make sure that adjust the numbers on both the control and the fan piece otherwise the control will not work.

Was a little worried that it wouldn’t work. So happy it did much cheaper then buying a new fan!

Worked great after original ceiling fan capacitator stopped working. Bought two 2️⃣ as two fans stopped working. The remote control is a nice feature, too. Recommend product.

UPDATED:I carefully installed this replacement unit in an existing fan/light, wired through a direct wall switch as required (no dimmer). I ensured that all requirements were met, and that the fan and bulb were operational and were well within the load specs, new battery in the remote, DIP switches set in both the remote and the receiver / controller, etc. I powered it back up, and the light and fan both worked fine via the remote. All good.Later that same day the receiver seems to have failed. The red light blinks on the remote when the buttons are pushed, but nothing happens at the fan/light end. I doubled checked the wiring connections to ensure that nothing had come loose - all was good. Pretty clear that the receiver / controller has failed, and very prematurely. Pretty disappointing after the repeated ladder work to install, and then to troubleshoot. The product installation sheet refers to a one year warranty / free one month replacement (non-human damage), which is a bit confusing. I reached out to the CeilingFanService email provided on the installation sheet. A week later I got an email response requesting proof of purchase. I provided that, and in three days later I received a replacement unit (receiver and remote).I have installed the replacement, and it works fine. It was the receiver which failed. So I have a spare remote now, both the original and the replacement remotes were fine.

Bought this for a bedroom fan we were installing. Wired up the fan, it worked fine. Left the fan on high as per the instructions. Turned the power back off and wired in the receiver. Turned the power back on and tested the remote, it worked perfectly. Came back to the room 2 days later and tried to use the fan. It would not run. Turned the power off, unwired the receiver, turned power back on. Fan worked perfectly fine. Requested a replacement. Replacement came in. Wired fan back up, turned on, made sure it was set on high, turned power back off as per instructions. Unwired fan, wired in new receiver, turned power back on. Tested new receiver and it worked perfectly fine. Turned the fan off. 1 1/2 weeks later we were getting the room ready for a guest and we went to turn the fan back on. DEAD AS A DOOR NAIL. Turned the power off, unwired the receiver and removed it. Wired the fan back up without the receiver. Turned the power back on and the fan worked perfectly fine, again. No more remote control. Bought a longer chain and told our guests to pull the chain if they wanted the fan to run. There is something seriously wrong with the electronic design of these receivers. I would not recommend this system to anyone.
