Didn’t work as expected likely because the switch location not in close proximity to the receiver. Also because the transmitter is mounted inside the electrical box in the wall next to other switches so maybe there was interference too. I would think the device could’ve worked better otherwise. I did like the in wall design though because it looked cleaner. Ended up bypassing the switch with wire lugs and installed a blank cover. Then bought a different version with removable remote and wall mount. Working fine along with smart features too.

I had a problem with my unit, and to the company’s credit, they immediately sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, the exact problem happened with the new unit, even though I chose to install it in a new location.I got this item to control my overhead fan and light using Amazon Alexa. The included remote controls for both units work fine, but both stopped responding to Alexa within 24 hours of installation. I have factor reset both multiple times, changed my wifi band, etc etc. but nothing makes them come back to life. Also, the devices are too big to fit underneath the canopies of either fan.

This product replaced the original remote for my Savoy fan whose control or replacement is no longer available. The instructions were good and the only thing that was difficult was that the original model had a thinner body so that it fit in the cover easily. Whereas this product had to be angled and just barely fit in because it's not as thin. It almost didn't fit.

I bought 5 of these because our older home only had a single switch to work both the fan and the light on every fan in the house, and having to use the pull chain is… less than ideal. Aside from that we prefer to switch lights on and off with Alexa anyways. Installation was easy, but getting it connected to the Smart Life app was troublesome. I got confused because the manual described things that did not quite make sense for what I was doing. I reached out to the seller and found out there is a newer manual that more clearly defines what the steps are for getting connected. For clarity’s sake, the steps are; turn off the power to the fan completely for at least 5 seconds (if you are splicing out a light switch, like I did… do that AFTER you get it connected to WiFi to make it easier), turn the power back on and within 30 seconds hold the fan power button at the top left corner of the remote, the lights on your fan will blink twice. If you start the auto scan on the Smart Life app right away your fan controller will appear as expected. First time was a little crazy getting the timing right, but after that it was super easy. Great product!

I bought this to replace a very clunky model. We couldn't ever figure out how to turn on/off or adjust the fan speed. This unit is so simple to operate and now my Wife can turn on/off the fan and light from wherever she is in the house. On issue was the programming of the Alexa interface - actually the Smart Life App connection was the issue. The instructions are a bit funky to figure out - after that, the connection to the Alexa interface was a bit simpler.Overall, this is a very nice unit. None of the Light/Fan units (The part in the fan canopy) ever fit easily - 5 pounds in a 3 pound bag scenario but the operation is the best I've ever installed.

Push button features a little confusing to figure out regarding the light function. We had to practice some to be able to easily and quickly be able to turn the light on when entering a room. Actually that is the most important issue for any light switch. Coming into a dark room you want to easily find the right button to be able to light up the room. We made that easy to do by taking a small kitchen cabinet rubber bumper that cushions the door when being closed and stuck it on the 'light' button. You walk in the door and put your hand where the switch is located and you can immediately find the light button to push and the light is on.We haven't tried to connect the fan to Wifi yet. When I get motivated to try that, I'll amend this review.
