The strobe light didn’t work. I plugged it in and got nothing. I opened up the actual light in the hopes it was maybe a loose wire or something, but unfortunately no such luck. Buy this product elsewhere and avoid the headache.

I received this strobe light, to use for band practices and potentially shows. After receiving the product, I have used it a few times, in different rooms with different lighting. The first thing I noticed was how light in weight it is. The whole unit is a plastic material. The cord length is shorter than I was thinking (leave it to a guy to anticipate length), but may be long enough to set a foot or so away from an outlet.Next, the operation is easy, but, could be better. The only control of this strobe is a single potentiometer, or turn knob, which controls the speed of the flashes. There are no markings, showing which direction goes slower or faster, and , since there is no On/Off button or switch, I found that I turned the knob all to way to the "slowest" side, and the flashing turned off. There appears to be about 1/4 of "deadzone", where the unit does not flash, until turning past the dead zone, it will begin to flash in very short intervals. My critique would be to have a turn knob that clicks when turned to the slowest flash end point, to designate being Off, along with some sort of text or diagram showing which direction is Off, Slow, and Fast.Next, the overall brightness is okay, but, the LED lights do not put out enough lumens to "throw" the light further than 3-4 feet for a decent effect. For me, this unit is best used for close-quarters effect, rather than, say, light up a dance club.Lastly, more of a personal critique, is that the 2-prong plug does not have the usual punched holes, that many electrical items have. This would only affect those who have electrical outlets that are "loose".Overall, this strobe is an okay item for, say, a bedroom, or in a small area, to get a good, full, flashing effect. I feel that the best performance was used while playing my drums, and having this unit flashing from my feet, up to my body, with all lights around me turned off.

This is one of the better strobe lights with many different patterns. Only drawback is the remote has to be pointed directly at the light to change a sequence and there were not as many different patterns as I've seen in other lights. All said the light is bright and has super bright light. It lights a large area and is a good value for the price. Looking for a good bright strobe light this is the one to buy.
