About this item

  • MC5 PRO is a mini audio mixer with 4 groups of 3.5mm inputs, 1 group 3.5mm AUX output and 3.5mm headphone jack output, which is capable of mixing the signals from CD players, instruments, portable recording devices, video playback devices and so on.
  • MC5 PRO supports two working modes to satisfy different requirements: 1. Active mode: need to connect independent USB power, built-in audio amp chip will work, amplify the mixed audio signal and output larger power, can connect headphones to monitor music directly via the 3.5mm headphone jack.
  • 2. Passive mode: no power required, MC5 PRO will work in the state of pure resistance attenuation, output audio signal will be a little attenuated. And the headphone jack output will not support headphone monitoring directly but need to add a headphone amp.
  • With one main output volume knob and four independent input volume knob, the input level of 4 groups can be controlled separately, have no interference to each other. Providing the highest sonic quality even at maximum output level.
  • Mini size with exquisite appearance, flexible circuit both provides monitoring and mixing functions, and won’t make interference to the sound quality, compact design is very convenient to carry and use any time any where.

Warm Tips
1. In active mode, please use independent USB power supply to power MC5 pro, cannot share the same power supply with audio device, or else common ground noise will be caused.
2. The 3.5mm headphone jack output is prior, 3.5mm AUX output on the back panel will auto disconnect if headphone is inserted.
3. Recommend to use active mode if want to connect headphone for monitoring, or else the output sound will be very small.
4. Please keep wireless device such as WIFI or phone away from MC5 PRO, or else noise may be caused.
5. MC5 PRO only supports standard audio signal such as CD / DVD / phone, cannot connect phono turntables or MIC directly.

Needed a small mixer that could use or not use power so I could run a few small synths and drum machines that use 3.5mm trs cables .Can confirm that if your device already puts out a nice bit of gain then it’s possible to use this passively and have a small simple mixer without the need for power……Or you can power it also if needed .

Works well. No issues with volume controls, and audio quality is usually great. The only real flaw is that it seems sensitive to outside RF. Whenever my cell phone or any other Wi-Fi or Bluetooth device is within a couple feet of the mixer I get constant crackling.

I have it powered, and mixing several workstation PCs and a USB Bluetooth receiver. Seems to work pretty good, gets out of the way and stays out of the way.I found a tiny noise coming from somewhere, not sure where that came from. If it's this mixer, I'll update the review.

I needed a mixer for mixing the outputs of a few devices and expected to pay in the neighborhood of $300 for one. Stumbled on this thing and it does exactly what I was hoping for at 1/6th the price I expected to pay!Pros:-Great sound quality. I haven't noticed any signal degradation / static / background noise at all-Powered: Haven't needed an amp at all to run higher power headphones from this thing-Dual output. Can run both headphones and speakers into it with the headphones overriding properly.-Small and compactMinor nitpicks:-I feel like the channels for each device lean slightly left or right, but that might just be me-Output volume is slightly lower than the raw input of each device. Only slightly though

I'm using this mixer to coordinate four outputs across two computers into a single set of speakers (or headphones). My speakers have their own amplifier control, but with the headphones on I can rely on the in-built amplifier of the mixer. Except that it occasionally spits some interference/noise when under USB power. I've tried a few different power sources to combat this, but it seems to always happen. Maybe it's some other device causing interference, that the amp circuit it picking up, I don't know. But be aware that you might find yourself with some squelch in your headphones when using this under power. Otherwise, it does a great job of simple passive mixing.

This review is for the "4 channel upgraded" version, which just means they repackaged the bare PCB version in plastic. It's basically a noise and Hiss generator. No Joke, but this thing sounds like a bad Joke.It sounds terrible. The hiss is ever-present and you can't "pot-down" to attenuate the effective noise this device creates throughout the range. With added power, no change. nor does the little switch do anything. Each time you plug in a 1/8" mini TRS the master volume decreases by 20% (at least). So you have 2+ lines-in the mix with volume reduced at 40%, PLUS the noise. great, how useless!Seriously, anyone in a crucial (for sound) audio situation should avoid the crap out of this thing. Just bloody awful.

I wanted to listen to my own music while playing Gran Turismo 7 on the PS5 while using the PS5 3D audio headphones.I have a 3.5mm audio cable going from the controller to input 1 on the mixer.I have a 3.5mm audio cable going from my phone to input 4 on the mixer.I have a 3.5mm audio cable going from the mixer headphone monitor jack to the PS5 headphones.I have the mixer model with the additional USB power (important for this application).I turned off the music in the game and turned on my streaming music from my phone. It mixes right into the game sounds perfectly. The mixer is made of plastic but does not feel cheap. The sound has a little interference if my phone is too close to the mixer but that is easy to mitigate. If you don't mind 3 aux cables and 1 power cable around you while you play, this is a perfect device to listen to your own soundtrack while playing PS5 with the PS 3D headphones.
