Looking for a versatile line/mic mixer that fits in a rack AND eliminates the need for tons of outboard gear? The 12-channel RX1202FX is not only rack mountable, but comes loaded with a 24-bit multi-FX processor and 8 built-in studio-grade IMP "invisible" mic preamps. This mixer works perfectly for small bands or churches, business conferences with both microphone and A/V equipment as well as sub-mixing keyboards, drums, samplers or multiple vocal mics. It's also the ideal choice for monitoring multi-track recording projects.

Channel Some Serious Mojo

Sometimes you feel like a mic...or a sampler...or a drum machine. Sometimes you don't. Whatever the situation calls for, the RX1202FX is ready to accommodate. Each mono channel (1-8) features an XLR input, a balanced 1/4" mono input and an INSERT jack for patching external signal processors directly into the channel. Mono channels feature a TRIM control and CLIP LED to adjust the input gain; a two-band EQ (HIGH, MID and LOW controls); FX control to determine how much of an effect to apply to the channel; a PAN control; and a smooth 60mm fader to determine the channel's level in the mix. Stereo channels (9-12) feature left and right balanced line level 1/4" inputs and the same front panel control as their mono counterparts. And, as mentioned above, they can be used as mono inputs themselves.

Taking Control

Smooth 60 mm faders and intuitive rotary dials make it quick and simple to create a killer mix. The MAIN MIX fader adjusts the volume of the main output signal while the dual 4-segment LED ladder display gives a visual representation of the signal level. The PHONES jack features a dedicated PHONES/ CONTROL ROOM dial for adjusting headphone volume. Push CD/TAPE TO MIX to add backing tracks from an MP3 or CD player, or to isolate a click track or scratch track in headphones while recording.

On the back panel, the LEFT and RIGHT MAIN OUT XLR jacks can be used to feed a recording device or PA system. For live performances, keep pre-recorded music cued up for between-set breaks by connecting a CD player or MP3 player via the stereo CD/TAPE IN jacks. If the band wants a recording of their performance, send signal to a recording device such as a mini-disc recorder via the CD/TAPE OUT jacks. Use the MON AUX SEND to send signal to floor monitors in a live setting, or to a headphone amp in a recording setting. When it's time for playback of recorded material, send signal to studio monitors through the CTRL OUT jack.

If a recording session or live performance calls for an effect not programmed in the onboard FX processor, send signal to an outboard effects unit via the FX AUX SEND, then feed the signal back to the RX1202FX through the AUX RETURN jacks.

Effects, Effortlessly

The FX/CTRL section puts sophisticated digital effects at your fingertips. Use the PROGRAM dial to scroll through the effect presets, then use the FX TO MAIN dial to govern how much of the effect is heard in the summed signal of the mixer. Push FX SOLO to hear only the effects signal in your monitors or headphones.

Superior Sound, Unparalleled Value

It's nearly impossible to find a rack-mountable mixer loaded with the inputs, mic preamps and digital effects found in the RX1202FX. And with a price tag that's well below what you would pay to purchase all these tools separately, the RX1202FX is the smartest way to make your studio, live band, church or conference sound like a million bucks.

Always nervous about Behringer quality, but it's worked perfectly so far. I use it for mixing several mic's for a drumset and adding some effects. Hopefully it lasts forever!

usually cast sturdy frown at all behringer products, but needing a sub-mixer and these being hard times n all went for this - have given it a thorough test, run through all the in-built effects, download the list online from behringer, used balanced connections where possible, have a couple of inserts running off channels and a lexicon mx200 folded back to the aux returns via the MON send, using the in-built fx loop too - sounds fantastic!! the eqs have a super low q-factor so e.g take out loads of mid at the same time as bass and the all connections are balanced (except for handy 2trk rca/ phono) - it's unbeatable value, i'm going to take good care of it, not to go over +6dB on everything and see how long i can keep it like it is!!

This worked perfectly for the first karaoke show. Everything sounded great and we didn't have to do much adjusting. No feedback, and people could really go at the mics without distorting, while still picking up quieter singers. The FX are nice for a little bit of added reverb or delay. The second show, there was a lot of popping and crackling and we would have to bring the volume up on the mic and music channels. There would be a pop and everything would be way too loud (without touching the mixer). The third show, not as bad, but still a lot of random pops. This is with different cords, and 3 different venues so the sound system was different. Since it was on all channels, that leaves the mixer as the issue.I saw a few reviews with issues with gain and noise, so I returned it and ordered an Alesis 12R 3U to fit the same space. Looks like pretty much the same layout without FX, so we'll see how that goes.I used to recommend Behringer because the last Europort PA we had lasted 6+ years, and this has the same pre-amps and FX, but from how many people are having the same issue after 2 weeks to a year, it looks like Behringer QA has gone down a bit.

Great mixer for a great price! I'm running it through a Behringer FBQ 1502HD EQ & a 200 watt power amp in my rehearsal space. I'm very happy with all my Behringer equipment.

First and Foremost, this unit works perfectly, functions as designed, and was packaged well. It is 3 rack space and fit into the 3 rack space opening I had.Cons: That being said, I did my first gig with this. Basically the customer needed an announcing PA and wanted a live music for lunchtime. Again, while it functions perfectly, the drawback was that the channels DO NOT have mute buttons. If you need to pull a channel out of the Main mix and the monitor Mix, you need to pull the fader totally off and turndown the monitor pot. Both. Then you need to remember where you had them in the mix when you bring them back. A mute button would have made this much better. While this is not a deal breaker for me, it would be most convenient if mute buttons would be incorporated.Pros: While I'm not a Behringer fan, this units performance was good. The mic pre's have good headroom. The digital effects unit built in was adequate for the task. This mixer did make my small venue system self contained. I just plug in power, plug in speakers, and plug in Mic's/Lines and I'm up and running. From that standpoint, it does what I needed. It does perform better than expected. The inconvenience of the mutes was enough to put this at 4 stars. But it does work well other than that.

I bought this as a simple control room mixer for my new voice-over studio. I needed something compact and shallow in depth in order to fit my current mixing desk. It is used mostly for control room monitoring/playback and to feed a push-to-talk system to my voice-booth. I would've liked it better if it would have included individual channel mute buttons, but I knew that going in, so I can't really fault Behringer for that here. It's very quiet, everything works, it seems well-built, and it fits the physical requirements of my new system.I own several Behringer products that I have had a good experience with for many years. We've all read some of the bad reviews that company has received, but all I can say here is that I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is exactly what we needed for a compact mixer. We used it as a monitor mixer and chain the mic signals to the main board. This thing feeds our in ears and gives us great sound in a tiny space with minimal mess. Sound is excellent and for the price there really isn't anything like it. This is the third Behringer mixer I've bought in a pinch and the third time I've been extremely happy.

This mixer does an ok job for rehearsals. The 2 band eq on each channel is not versital enough for live performances. The single monitor send is limited for on stage foldback. For the price it is ok.
