Very handy and well made hobby vice. I use this in my N-scale model railroading work. Holds rolling stock securely and safely. The rubber pads protect delicate details, keep the model from slipping or moving, and leave no marks or residue. The ability to attach the vise to the mount at either 90 deg or 180 deg is very helpful. The large screw mechanism gives very precise control over the pressure applied to what is in the vice, also protecting fragile items. Every detail of the Mini Bench Vise is high quality and well made. A little pricey but well worth it.

This is a sturdy, versatile, reasonably priced, low-profile vise to hold small workpieces for drilling or similar non-precision machining.

There’s a lot of play in the jaws. Had to return.

I was surprised at the quality of this little vice, multiple configurations, the ability to bolt it to a surface, it works very well with a small pin drill, i’ve already used it to repair a connector on a toy model, drilling a 1 mm hole and using a brass wire and model glue to make a strong bond. Worked great!

I bought this specifically to drill pen blank holes. But looking at it, I can see it's going to have LOTS of different uses. It has two pretty thick and sturdy rubber pads to drop in the vice for gripping the pen blanks once they're shaped, if you want to do etching or inlay some little treasure. It has extra little nobbies and screws if you want to center something larger. It's got a nice weight, it's not plastic.
