Style: Clamp-On Vise
MYTEC is a 2.5-Inch Light Clamp-On Vise with light weight designed for home, shop and professional use.
4 rubber gaskets are attached to the product package to prevent unnecessary scratches on the table surface when installing the vise
It can attach to tables up to 2.4" thick to work almost anywhere.
The vise can be rotated up to 360-Degree on its base for work positioning.
It’s widely suitable for general purpose and light work.
The vise is manufactured from cast iron featuring steel vise jaws, threaded spindle assembly and a chrome lockdown.
The jaw of the bench clamp is made of quenching and re-fires technology, which increases the hardness and toughness of the jaw and makes it durable..
Tip:
Add some oil to the screw before use to ensure that the movement of the jaws is more flexible and stable.
When using the rotating handle to fix the vise, if the tension is too tight or too flexible, the tightness of the jam nut can be adjusted to achieve a good working condition

As to the 360 clamp not holding, I tried it, and yes it would loosen if I torqued it at all! BUT!!!I believe some read this so called problem, and return it when they see it is true, without reading instructions or playing around with it a bit. On the Box, it shows how to adjust the 360 clamp by using a wrench to tighten to proper strength. The armature actually rotates farther than just a few inches.I turned the 360 clamp so the it swivels 90 degrees off the edge of the workbench top. Works great! No slippage. The problem may be when rotating so that the table top prevents the clamp from rotating straight up and down. But, mine seems adjusted so even this works.Again, look at the super brief instructions on the box.And understand this is a small hobby size clamp designed for it's intended uses. It's not a full sized, hold an 8' 2x4 Grandad's shop vise.

I purchased the 3.3" Black vise for my work table. The 3.3" vise comes with an additional set of jaws that are tapped for a set of pins that will hold irregular shaped work. Those jaws will attach to the vise jaws with magnets that are built in, or they can replace the original jaws, that are held on with screws. I opted to replace the original jaws, as that gave me an extra 1/2" of opening depth. There are a set of plastic covers that can cover the metal jaws to protect your work. The 3.3" vise only opens 2.375"....the 3.3", refers to the width of the jaws. This vise has a "quick release", button that makes adjusting the jaws very easy without a lot of handle spinning. This particular model comes with a plastic pad for the clamp on the bottom of the vise, but nothing for the table top side. I used some stick on felt pads to protect my table top. The vise also includes thru-bolts, if you want to drill into your bench and fasten it that way. It's a nice small vise, with useful features: It clamps to the table, It swivels, It has plastic jaw covers, It has jaw pins to hold irregular shaped pieces. I would say a good value for the cost.

After reading reviews of clamp on vises I was apprehensive about buying one. But it seems I always need a third hand to hold something. I wasn't sure how or where I was going to mount it on my scaffold workbench either. Front edge inhibits clamping. Bit the bullet and ordered this one and very happy I did so. My workbench has slots to remove the top to change the height of the workbench. Vise fit perfectly in either of those slots but would be in the way most of the time and require removal and reinstall all the time. I wanted it to be ready to use when I wanted it so I cut a hole on the end of the bench where it would be out of the way most of the time. I can always move it back to center holes as needed. Reviews were so so on clamp holding firmly to the table. I had no issues with that. Vise is very secure to my bench and doesn't move unless I go bananas with to much pressure. It's not a bolt down clamp and won't work as such. But it's a great third hand with multiple uses at a wonderful price.

This is _exactly_ what I expected to get for the price. Actually, a bit more! It's perfect for what I needed - clamp it down somewhere, cut a tube, done. It's heavy and sturdy, both screws are hardened, the lock is solid._IT IS CAST_ - yes it'll break if you hit it with a steel hammer. It's two steps above a hobby vise, for 1/2 the price. Don't hit it with a steel hammer.Excellent product - AS DESIGNED.Recommended!

This vise does everything that I wanted. The rotation feature is much more useful than I had anticipated. Rotation is smooth and the lock is secure. I haven't yet found a need for the small, flat anvil surface on the moveable jaw yet though. The plastic pads for the jaw surfaces are essential if you are doing fine work like jewelry or building models. Those pads don't fit tight, but they are OK and functional. The big D-shaped pad for the bottom of the cast jaws portion won't hold without adhesive. I secured it using double-stick Scotch tape. The circular pad for the screw at the bottom does snap on and stay by itself. If you appreciate well made tools, you will understand what I mean by cute. The cast metal portions are finished well, with no sharp edges on the outside (inside the jaw area where you shouldn't put your fingers does have some sharp edges). Handles and jaw screw are well-finished. Amazon didn't pack it well for shipping. The vise comes in a small cardboard box with no support material inside. Amazon just put that box in a plastic envelope and tossed it onto the concrete some distance from my front door. The vise had slipped through the bottom of its box, but was not damaged. Maybe if you specify that it is a gift Amazon will put it in an outer box.

My crafty woman loves this thing lolThis vise was absolutely perfect addition to my wife's crafting desk. No more cursing when she's cutting little wood sticks :) And it pivots, and it's sturdy as heck; once screwed in the clamping power is great. The package was beat to heck when we got it (I blame the fact that it's a heavy metal object loose in a cardboard box, not the Seller. the vise should be trapped in packing, then put in a box. Like a printer.)Solid, versatile, compact yet powerful. And the price was right. I don't even wanna know how much they wanted for this thing at the box store.Very pleased with my purchase.

Despite the negative reviews, I have been pleasantly surprised with this little desk vice. Being a more or less unknown brand from China, you never can be sure what you're going to get. Or when for that matter. So after a fair amount of thought, I decided to risk it and ordered the 2.5 inch vice. The first thing to note about this vice is that is a light duty vice. A simple look at it clearly shows that it is in no way suitable as a workshop vice for serious work like sawing wood or anything of that nature. No, this is best suited for lighter crafting type work. It holds light objects in place while you work on them. Some light filing or cutting for modelling or similar activities. The included rubber jaw covers indicate that this is what the manufacturer intends also.Out the box you are immediately are presented with not only the vice, but the included rubber accessories. These take the form of one pair of soft jaw covers and rubber covers for the clamp. I recommend installing all of there straight away before they are lost. There is no point in waiting until you think you need them, because you will, definitely. They are easily removed again if necessary. The next job is to inspect the various metal edges. I found a few small burrs or sharpish edges. A few strokes with a small file took care of those easily enough. The jaws meet nicely. Not perfectly, but we expected that, right? It is close enough unless you are trying to clamp tin foil for some strange reason. They are also removable, which is nice. The slide mechanism works well although it came almost entirely dry and needed lubrication as does the screw. The main screw is tensioned by a spring and washer setup which does make it feel and sound a bit grindy. There is no retention on the slide so it will come off if you keep open the jaws too far. This is nice for maintenance, but could be a problem if you are working and not paying attention. The rotating section likewise needed lubricating and it isn't as smooth as it could be. But it works just fine. Finally I turned my attention to the small anvil. This is probably where it could use the most work if you want to take the time. The construction of the whole body is cast steal and in anvil seemed like wasn't quite ground down properly after casting. It's not bad by any means. But it's not entirely flat either. There was a little cupping in the surface that seems to have been caused by whatever first stage grinding method that was used. The effect is pretty clearly visible and needs some work sanding down to reach proper flatness. But it's not bad as is really. For the price it is pretty good and there is room for touching up these things yourself. Which I would rather be able to do than be stuck with a product that can't be tweaked to how I want it. Being a bare steal surface, the anvil and a few other parts must be kept oiled to prevent rust.In conclusion, I like this little vice quite a lot. I am glad that I took the chance on it. But like all vices, it is designed to do a certain level of work. I am confident that it will perform well as long as it is not abused and overworked. The one thing that failed any sort of quality check was the included gloves. They were too small for an adult and would probably have disintegrated in water. But in fairness we're buying the vice, not the gloves.
