I'm just a weekend warrior but this thing is pretty neat. There is no way a professional should be without one of these.

I buy this tool 2471-20 tool only from Amazon. This tool I received today. Very useless this tool. No LED light on top. no pressure on pipes. No good clean cutting. Very disappointed.

I took it out of the box, and it worked for nearly a minute or two.

I work in cryogenic and I've run miles of type L and K 1 1/8" copper pipe. I have 2 in my service truck and 1 as a spare. This tool is a time saver, wrist, hand and patience saver. The oldest is 4 years old and as long as you change the blade when needed (for me roughly every 200 cuts) it's a great tool.

Did a ton of plumbing on the new water softener and shut-offs. Boy, I wish I got this sooner. So quick cutting new pipes, but then realized it's quite hand removing old work out too. So far only cutting 1/2" and 3/4" type M and L copper. The reset takes a second to remember and cutting very small pieces is not recommended. Otherwise, this is a dream tool.

This tool is extremely useful when cutting copper pipe in close quarters. But it makes cutting copper pipe under any circumstances just about effortless. In case you're tempted to try cutting metal conduit using this tool, don't bother. I tried and it won't work. But it's designed for copper pipe and works fine for that purpose.

It is a Milwaukee that speaks for itself Gentlemen as an industrial plumber I use this every day believe you me it is a fantastic tool extremely fast cutting increases your productivity. The only problem I have with this tool and I'm an extremely lover of Milwaukee I run the M 12 series is that this tool will leave a small little burr at times depending on how straight you hold it and you have to send it off or will not fit inside the fittings the only thing that I dislike about this tool but the work around to that is and the save you headache is to grab the pipe and the tool and counter rotate as you cut the pipe i.e. rotate the pipe right to left rotate the tool left to right as it cuts and it leaves no burger but sometimes it well so expected. Extremely versatile tool I can cut pipe in the wall as long as there's enough room for the tool to go in if a pipe is 1 inch away from the drywall or wall I can slide that tool in their and cut it imagine getting a small little cutter and trying to twist it with your hand how long it would take it takes me two seconds to cut a pipe once again Milwaukee hits a homerun as expected if your plumber I highly recommend this tool for a couple of dollars for this tool how much is your time worth? If it saves you depending on how many cuts you do in an eight hour day one to two or three hours than it's well worth it if it makes your life easier why not?

Use this at least a couple of times a week on mostly 3/4" copper. Cuts easily, faster and saves our hands from arthritis! like others have said, it does leave a burr on the inside of the pipe, but an easy fix with the right tool. Currently using with the small M12 battery and I am charging after every 4 jobs or so.

I'm replacing a lot of my traditional copper piping with Uponor PEX water supply lines. I already have the Milwaukee/Uponor cordless machine that stretches out the end of the PEX so that the Uponor sleeve will tighten around the fitting; and it works great. So I got this. I didn't need any batteries because I have several Milwaukee 12 volt cordless tools that use this battery. This tool is comfortable and easy to use. You just hold it and the jaws/cutters inside do all the work. It makes a nice clean cut and does it quickly.Nice tool, well balanced. Appears quality built.

I bought the Milwaukee pipe cutter from Amazon because it was about $5.00 cheaper than other retailers but the real savings was in the free shipping. For those of you who don't like a Milwaukee tool made in China, this tool is not for you.Like my other ancient Milwaukee tools I accumulated over time, this tool has the typical Milwaukee heavy-duty-feel feed-back: it feels solid and sturdy, balanced weight distribution, and industrial performance. The tool quickly cuts my 3/4" copper pipe without fanfare, leaving a smooth cut. I doubt I will ever go back to using a manual cutter. As with almost all Milwaukee tools, this tool is well conceived and executed -- which is why I seldom deviate from the Milwaukee brand. Whether you are doing a small piping job as a DIY or as a tradesman, this Milwaukee pipe cutter will make your job go easier.
