I received this nut mill as a gift to replace one that looks just like it. The old one had bent blades, but I had been using it like that for years. This new mill has a cheap plastic top that will not stay screwed because the grooves are not deep enough. It just turns around and around, and when you pick it up by the top or try to grind nuts it separates from the glass bottom. I recently purchases another one from NorPro for under $10 that is far superior in quality. Unfortunately, I cannot return this one because I did not use it until after the last return date.

This is a great product for people who bake and use nuts in their baking. The mill is easy to use, saves time and does the job of grinding the nuts without hand chopping.

Works well on peanuts,, but blades bent when I tried it on hazelnuts. I was able to bend them back.

Works great, except for on almonds, but they are a harder nut anyways. Chops up nuts better then the per-choped nuts you buy at the store. Dishwasher safe.

I purchased this to grind raw almonds and it doesn't work - plastic on top started to separate before even one nut was ground. I purchased it because it had a glass bottom and a steel grinder mechanism. However metal grinder part is not constructed well and is not sharp and the plastic top is very flimsy and just tacked together.. Don't buy it!
