Turn on the water with ease! The clever lever design eliminates the need to constantly twist or turn a difficult faucet. Just flip to easily turn on the water and get maximum flow from the high-volume valve.

I've only had it for about 6 months and now when the handle is down to prevent water from passing through, it leaks from many different areas where there is plastic. Do not buy unless you're just looking for a temporary solution.

I use this product with cleaning my fresh water fish tanks. It is attached to my Python vacuum/siphon hose system to assist in cleaning my fish tanks. I bought it to replace a brass flow through valve connector that started to leak after two years of use. The brass unit had a washer that wasn't serviceable that went bad. I am happily surprised that this product works much better than the brass one I had prior. Much easier to use and no leaks so far. No idea how long it will continue to work perfectly but so far so great! Highly recommend although I do use it for a niche purpose in the aquarium/aquatic hobby.

As my headline notes, I've purchased two of 'em and I'm very happy with them. I'm not entirely certain what problem people are having with the quick connect components. I've tried 'em on a variety of sprinklers, spray nozzles, and my pressure washer, and I've never had it leak nor pop off.I could "potentially" see an issue where a lack of water pressure may cause a problem because when I flip the water on, you can hear & see the connector tighten up due to line pressure. My only complaint(?) is that due to the design of the male connector, it really restricts water flow relative to the inner diameter ("ID") of the hose supplying the water.. (I didn't measure to see if the male connector's ID is the same as the ID as the ball valve right behind it. If it's the same ID, then the ball valve is the primary point of restriction. That being said, since the two pieces come as a package, does it really matter where the restriction is? It's there regardless.)The reduced ID is going to give you more pressure, but less volume. This may have an impact on what you're supplying water to.Overall, I bought this primarily for the on/off switch functionality. I very much prefer this design over the small dial that you find on other designs. The inclusion of the quick-connect piece was just a bonus.

This is our second turn iff hose splitter. We got one a couple of years ago, and this year while using a different type of shut off hose splitter connection I found that I was no longer able to turn the dial type shut off any more, my arthritis made that difficult. We had the one on another hose and it is so easy to turn off and on, which is why one star was deducted because sometimes when dragging the hose across the surface the leaver turns itself on or off. The lever works so well for our needs but that one thing can be annoying otherwise I would rate it a 5 star without hesitation.

Worked beautifully for a month or so then failed internally. Off went to On and vice versa and still leaked when off. Can’t recommend at all.

This valve was a replacement for a metal one that I had for years. I was dubious that this plastic model would be as effective ... but it is - and possibly more so. It's easy to reach on the hose and immediately, and easily, reacted to flipping it on or off. I worry a bit that it will last ... at least as long as my iron version did ... but I guess time will tell. In the meantime, I wouldn't be without a valve like this on my garden hoses.

I love their line of nozzles and valves but recently one of the valves snapped in two. The inside was pvc like material and it broke in half.I contacted Melnor and found out they warranty their valves for two years and they promptly sent me a replacement. They are my go to brand for hose attachments and I love that they stand behind their products.

This is a good product. Just don't expect to get the two sets that are shown in the picture! You are only purchasing one.The Product is great and what I wanted. The Bait and switch - showing two Items but only selling you one is where I have the issue!

Most shutoff valves that are sold to be put on garden hoses restrict the water flow considerably due to the small diameter of the actual ball valve. They are also have a small pivoting lever that is ergonomically ridiculous. The Melnor has a large lever that is easy to use. It also has a much larger ball valve (at least twice the diameter) than typical hose valves resulting in greatly increased water.volume. Even though they are much more expensive, as most good tools are, they are well worth the additional cost.
