German made products are second to none. These are made of high-quality metal. Each peace holds weight. Could not give this a 5 star. System did not allow me to rate it higher. You can't go wrong buying these. Recommend buying a minimum of two orders. Better to have extra than to say I should have order more. You will thank me later.

This brand makes great accessories for your watering products, gives me the ability to remove the hose nozzle without having to shut down the valve. I love it.

Now, I shopped on Amazon for these for some time, and if these aren't the best then they most certainly must be among the best out here. And so, I don't have any complaints about them.If you want more durable than THESE though, I'd suggest going to the website for "Eley Hose Reels." Because they have connectors like these that are made of solid brass. I didn't see them on Amazon, which is why I suggested to go to their website. The same goes if you want a nozzle from them. At the very least it is worth checking out because in my opinion their hose nozzle puts Gardena's hose nozzles to shame. But anyway, their connectors don't have the "water stop" feature that these have. You know, where you can uncouple the connection with the water running and it will automatically stop? However, you CAN get a brass shutoff piece from them too and put it on before their quick connector, which would kind of serve the same purpose. Just plan to pay a bit more than what these cost.And by the way, ONLY the quick connector piece that is supposed to go on the end of the hose that an accessory is supposed to get connected to, will have the "water stop" function. The quick connector pieces that are meant for the hose spigot and the beginning of the hose DO NOT have the "water stop" feature. But that really doesn't matter too much if they are being connected to the spigot because then, you're right there by the actual knob to shut the water off.Anyway, these are working great for me so far. And I would definitely recommend them. I would also highly recommend getting the metal ones. The only problem NOW is, that shortly after I got these is when I discovered that "Eley" company I mentioned earlier. And now I'm at a loss for what I want to do now, lol. I'll probably stick with Gardena's products though, as theirs are already pretty expensive. And Eley's are even MORE expensive.

Having previously had the plastic version of this I thought I’d upgrade after it perished.The bit that screws onto the outside tap just leaks, spraying water everywhere!The installation instructions are rubbish also and I ended up watching a YouTube video. I feel like I totally wasted my money as it’s useless. I’ve just reordered the plastic versions again

This product isn’t compatible with anything on the Australian market. It doesn’t work with any of my hose fittings, it doesn’t fit in a standard tap.I’m seeking a refund. This product is useless to me.

I like the metal connectors best. The plastic ones do have a limited life due to UV damage of the plastic. These metal connectors are very tough, so any time I find them in Warehouse Deals, I snap them up. I think I now have more than I actually need, but then I still have a very few plastic connectors in use that will need replacing in the future, so these will be put into service at that time.They make connecting accessories to the ends of hoses very easy, especially for those of us with arthritic hands. Crank of the fitting once and you are done. Recommended! :)

Please note I'm not slagging Gardena, I'm just pointing out the OPERATOR ERRORs I have made over what must be close to 50 years.Yes, they cost more than the plastic fixtures. But you won't be cracking or breaking the male fittings caused by the weight of the hose or aggressively pulling on it.I can't count the number of the plastic fittings I'v broken over the years, but I've never had any of the metal parts.Regardless if it's metal or plastic Gardena has been making great products since 1961 and I found them in the 1970's and have been using them.
