This did not hold up at all and very disappointed. I thought getting a brand name instead of the knock off brands would help. I have used this very little and what I liked was the easy open valve for the selections.About 4 months in it started to leak around the top connector, so I swapped out the rubber gasket and added some nylon tape around the threads on the tap. Then about the end of December, two of the selector taps started to leak. Again I removed the hoses and changed the rubber gaskets. I noticed that one of the taps on the unit was "loose and spinning a little to the left and right" That is the one that is leaking when using the hose with a shower gun on the end.I would not recommend this as a purchase as my last 4 way splitter was purchased in 2017 and lasted 6 years in the Arizona summers under direct sunlight before finally leaking and needing replacement.

UPDATE: 5 stars from 1 because Melnor has stood behind their product and sent a new one. Very thankful although I hope this one stands up.I see if it unavailable now. It was taken in last year before frost and worked for a month or so, then started spreading from the seams. Doesn't seem to be a crack.I give it 2 stars because it was nice to use, when it was not leaking. Too bad these don't last. Maybe the sun deterioates the glue?The warranty on the Melnor website states 7 years which is pretty decent! Will contact them.

Gang valve looks and functions great. The levers are a lot easier to turn flow on/off than the traditional dial type switch which require much more finger and twisting strength. Finally got sick of my old one which was really starting to stick after 10 years and I started needing pliers to turn the switches. This design is much easier to operate. Only time will tell but so far the valves don't leak and the overall construction seems pretty sturdy.

This hose splitter/ Selector is definitely heavy duty, the levers are very easy to use and control. The holes through the ball valves are a little smaller than the Full Flow ones I have been using, but doesn’t seem to be an issue with pressure reducion. When I’m watering I run 5 to 7 impulse sprinklers simultaneously on different spigots so my well pump runs without cycling on and off, so maintaining pressure at the sprinklers is important.

I had one of these 4 hose connectors in the past and it worked WONDERFUL. Someone hit it with the lawnmower and broke it. I needed to replace it. I replaced it with EXACTLY the same one as it works so well when one only has one hydrant but wants to run many hoses to the garden. If this is your case, I STRONGLY recommend that you purchase this hose connector. It is the BEST and the easiest to use.

It has worked great for the last year, and then it sprung a leak. I contact customer service, and a replacement arrived within the week!

This isn't compatible with Australian hose fittings, if you look the thread doesn't go all the way around, so you get leaks, even after using thread tape, they still leak. There seems to be others similar being sold! Not sure why they are available to Australian's!

No matter what brand of fitting I put on they leak, even when I tighten with tools the plastic threaded portion starts spinning and even tightened with multigrips on the silver portion it still bloody leaks. Yes I tried the supplied rubber washers as well.Don't waste your money!!

In the words of the late Anna Nicole Smith: 'TWO THUMBS UP and IF I HAD MORE THUMBS, IT WOULD BE MORE THUMBS UP!'Wasn't the easiest to hook up but after about an hour of fiddeling and tightening and re-tightening (*lol), finally it was leak free all the way around and working perfectly. One interesting note is that I had a leak where my hose was connected directly to the spicket before hooking this up and right away when I added this and connected the hose directly to this adapter, the leak was gone... I was very happy with this, of course!!Anyway, I haven't done any water quality testing yet (*I plan to) but as far as getting it all hooked up and without leaks, so far, so great! ...If I find any bad news when I test the water, I will revisit this review. If you don't see an update in the next couple of months or so, then you can assume the test didn't reveal anything sinister. ;-)Good luck on your search for a water filter... Installed drip irrigation this year and needed a manifold to help me control 3 zones and allow a 4th for my incidental needs. Could have installed a timer as well, but I wanted to monitor the system’s performance and control manually at first. As I’m home a lot, I ended up just going through the season this way. Made a breeze of watering my landscape -and deck planters- while several friends struggled this year due to a dry summer in WNY. (Was extremely water efficient as well! Wish I’d done so sooner!) This manifold made on/off switching a breeze compared to the brass units I’ve used in the past! Even though my faucet is a bit recessed, this attached without difficulty. I was concerned that the black color might get hot to touch as it is in direct sun with a southern exposure all day; but it didn’t. It’s more of s rubberized casing vs a hard plastic. It definitely met my need for a more refined appearance as this location is right along the driveway and highly visible. This gave a professional look without appearing obtuse. Have used other Melnor products in the past with reliability, so decided to give this a try. The trip levers are plastic, but, treated with a bit of respect, they should last indefinitely. Would definitely purchase again! Easy install and smooth operation. Very sturdy unit.

Good flow control. Easy to install. Four hose connections gives lots of versatility. I am concerned with sturdiness. It seems fine but I have purchased Melnor watering wands with the same valve control and the handles have started leaking especially when flow is reduced and back pressure is increased. This happened with less than a year of use. Controlling flow is an important feature for my application.
