This is a good travel gas detector. I like the clear display, however, the colored bars are a bit confusing. I think they should have left these off unless gas is detected. The green bar flashes all the time and the other bars are sold. Seems like the other bars should not light up unless something is detected. The temp and humidity readings are nice. This is easy to travel with since it is small. Can be used as a nightlight as well since this display is always on when plugged into power.

I like the features of this detector. I am primarily concerned with CO, as I sometimes run a propane heater indoors. We've never had CO detected, but this gives me peace of mind. Also, the display is easy to read and shows both the temperature and humidity. Those are handy additions to a CO detector. It also detects natural gas, but that isn't something I need. Also, I love that they included a built-in battery backup to cover short-term power outages. That is when we're most likely to be using the propane heater. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.

We have another detector like this in our kitchen, and I wanted one for upstairs. I love that the read-out is so bright and easy to follow, and that it was so easy to put in a nice safety measure to ensure our older house is a safe environment. It's small, doesn't take up much space, and as you can see from the photos on the sales page, the imagery is quite intuitive.

This is a great device, I have in my kitchen. It works great and is very accurate. I like the alarm that goes off when it detects gas. It brings great peace of mind to an anxious momma.

I have a gas stove in my house and I got this relatively portable detector to replace the one screwed to the kitchen wall as it stuck out like a sore thumb. Being plug-in, it is easily movable to a different outlet location where screw-mounting would not be feasable or desired. The display on this detector is very good and it is fun to see it doing its job in realtime. The old one would just beep at a certain threshhold, but it was impossible to tell anything about the amount of gas detected (to see if it was building, or just a spike) and it only detected carbon monoxide, not natural gas as well. This detector does both, as well as temperature and humidity in the room. With its built-in battery, it can also be removed with a trist, leaving the prongs plugged in, and used as a portable detector for quickly spot-checking or detecting a gas leak location in a pinch, as well as it continues working when the power is off (for if an (older) electric-lit gas stoves without a pilot light is accidentally turned on).I tested this detector for both natural gas detection and CO and it did well, detecting the gasses rather quickly and sounding an alarm. It also distinguishes the two types of gas on the display (CO is numeric, and NG is a colored bar graph). Like others have said though, the alarm sound should be MUCH louder, especially for the hard or hearing, and since it is electric, I would like to have seen a sealed LED strobe light in conjunction with the alarm sound. Otherwise, a fine detector that looks good with nice features.

I really like this hazard protector for my home. I like that it is a four-in-one plug that detects carbon monoxide and various gases. I really like that this hazard protector integrates combustible gas sensors to detect propane as I use propane for my fireplace and a wood stove. Its sensors also detects methane gases. The gas warning and description may lead you to assume it just has a reading for natural gas, but the gas indicator warning covers all these gases which make me feel very safe. I like that it is low profile white and matches my baseboards. I like that it has a batter backup. To make it even nicer it shows the room temperature and humidity! This little plug can be a life-saver for many readings including if you park your car in the garage and have a living area directly attached. I like that it has an audible alarm that alerts you to danger in events you are not looking at it. I like that you don’t have to buy batteries; it lasts 9-10 hours during an outage and when electricity comes back it recharges itself without having to do anything at all. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and highly recommend this to everyone for their safety and well-being including anyone in the home and precious pets.
