Bought this tester becaue my wife was smelling exhaust fumes in our recently purchased used car, and we had concerns about CO in the passemger compartment. This tester notified her a couple of times that there was excessive amounts of CO. We took the car in and they found an exhaust leak that probably saved her life! Sinmple to use and understand. Lasts a long itme on a set of AAA batteies even running in standy mode all the time.

Cheap overseas product. Overall, it worked OK and was able to detect carbon monoxide. I have even used it to locate exhaust gases in a radiator Overflow container on a Engine that had a leaking head gasket. The traditional exhaust gas die tester did not pick it up.

For a quick and light weight co tester works great.

We have a gas range and gas fireplace. Wanted a portable carbon monoxide detector. A professional giving our house appliances a checkup mentioned this detector and being inexpensive and convenient. Reassuring to being able to check gas level.

Junk, do not buy. Unit sounds off erratically for no reason, shuts off for no reason, does not protect at all. I decided to return it about 3 hours too late.Oh well........Glad I did not die!

Good budget option CO monitor. Beware these meters seem to be quite sensitive to heat and will give you false readings. You can't use them for tuning anything too hot as the plastic melts quite fast. They do seem to work generally speaking. I bought a more expensive one and the sensors almost seem identical as it also gave false positives after about 95°f. You have to manually turn off the meter with the power button or it seems to stay in a standby mode( I routinely leave it in standby mode just for ease of checking) the batteries that came with it seem to last quite awhile as it hasn't even lost a bar being left on for multiple days. I do believe it does work as the meter stayed pretty steady from room to room after accidently letting some lead acid batteries off gas indoors. Seller was responsive and polite when I explained melting the tip of the meter. Overall I'm happy with it as a room air meter unfortunately I was really looking for an analyzer which I was unaware was quite a bit different in terms of heat exposure.Meter is pretty easy to use the low and high buttons I haven't quite figured out as they seem to only control muting and unmuting sound and screen brightness.

Great little CO detector. Very easy to use and its size makes it very convenient and portable.

i feel like the display doesn't stay on long enough , the controls are a bit odd to like pressing the low button makes the icon for the sound to go off on and on, and pressing HI makes the display change brightness, and once you turn the device on it just stays on the power button doesn't turn it off, but it will turn off after a short time. Why would they not just make the power button keep the device on until you turn it off? Makes no sense.
