I purchased these two in October 2024. One day in Feb 2025, both were alarming nonstop when I got home. The fire department arrived and conducted a test inside my house after I promptly contacted them, but they found nothing. They advised me to get rid of this trash and replace them with high-quality ones from Home Depot because there was no carbon monoxide in the house. Spend your money wisely.

I have this in my basement by the furnace. I believe that this is a must have for any owner or renter of an apartment or home. When I fired up my furnace for this winter season this helped bring a peace of mind while doing so.

So I’ve had this since January, just because I’m an overly cautious person.. about a month ago, it randomly went off at midnight on a Saturday.. but just said error.. we evacuated and between the fire department and air care company, chalked it up to a false alarm (Even though it went off 6 more times saying error every time while the fire department was there and one said he was lightheaded) On Monday, I asked our pediatrician to check our child’s levels just to be safe and sure enough, his levels were elevated slightly.. it’s now been a month of trying to find the source. We thought we had it fixed, but something just didn’t feel right in my gut, so I decided to put it back in the same room last night even though we have a different brand of carbon monoxide detector in there right now(that one has not gone off once this entire time) and last night it went off again, again saying error, even though it hadn’t in any other room during the last month (I had moved it to a bedroom when we bought the other brand thinking this one was possibly faulty). Husband was tested and his levels were slightly elevated.. even if it does say error, it’s been right every time. It’s the only one I trust.So please even if it gives you an error, evacuate and get checked, ours has been right every time and I just ordered 2 more.
