Just got back from using this rod for the first time and it worked flawlessly. The connections for each rod section stayed tight and didn't need constant tightening like my old rod. Plus, it was tested with a estimated three pound bass and still remained tight at the rod sections! I would give this rod a better rating if I had more days of field testing. I was at first nervous about spending so much for a rod I cannot put in my hand prior to purchase, but it was packed very well and already in it's case when unpackaged.
