Follow the instructions and works great to attach lightweight objects to metal. Used it to affix LED tape light to bottom of metal shelves but didn't want tape adhered directly to shelves.

I put this at a four star so I wouldn’t stand out as just some angry customer in the 1 star review section. But instead I’m a very disappointed customer in the 4 star section. lolThis product is terrible for all use cases, do not buy!

I have magnetic boards for counted cross stitch and the magnets, over many years, have broken. Tired of trying to use refrigerator magnets, and do not want adhesive backed magnets. This was the answer!! Strong, flexible, does exactly what I need the magnet to do! There is an indent on the non magnetic side so it i easy to see which side is which. Yes, there is a BIG roll, and I definitely have more than I need, but I could not be happier with the product!! Very pleased!!

I used these to make magnetic labels for my roll around tool box. I hated it when I had to go through half my toolboxes to find the right tool. I used a 1/2” label maker and listed what was in each drawer. Some drawers have multiple labels on them where needed. Cool thing is that if you move the tool to another drawer just move the label too.

Sticks to itself kind of ok. Sticks to flat steel kind of ok. Sticks to vertical steel surfaces... kind of maybe. However, don't bother trying to stick it to inclined surfaces it will fall off under its own weight when you breath on it. Don't bother trying to sandwich any material, even some thin tape or a sheet of paper between it and the surface or the bond will be weaker than that of 2 sheets of paper. This may be able to suspend something made of a material less dense than air, but otherwise look elsewhere. On the upside its easy to cut with scissors I suppose. Would return if it didn't take me so long to start this project that it is now well beyond the return window.

Thank you to all of the reviewers who pointed out that only one side is magnetic. One side has two ridges indented in it and the other does not, making it easy to distinguish one side from the other. Cut a length of magnet and try sticking it to the refrigerator, if it slides down, the side touching the refrigerator is the non-magnetic side and won't work as a magnet. On my order, the side with 2 grooves is the non-magnetic side. Also this will not work as a sandwich with a piece of magnetic metal, the non-magnetic side will have to be glued.I'm using this strip to hang Megulla rechargeable lithium lights under the kitchen counters. If I had paid attention and measured first, 3/4" would have been a better choice, but I have had zero problems with the magnet being too weak. I'm using a thin line of Gorilla Glue and taping in place while the glue sets and that's working great to bond to the cheap particle board under the cabinets where the self-adhesive strips that came with the lights just fell off.

I used this to glue on the back of business cards and this worked great! The magnet roll was huge and the magnet was strong enough to put items on my fridge. I wouldn't expect it to hold anything really heavy, but that wasn't what I was looking for. For small projects this was a great price and a great product.

despite the other bad review stating they they are not very strong it issue has to due with which side you use. one side is definitely stronger than the other. i printed p-touch labels and stuck them to one side in order to apply labels to a new black rolling tool box. unfortunately i assumed being a magnet that it didn't matter which side i used. I choose wrong. the magnet was barely strong enough to over power to natural curve from being in a roll. so i tried again. reprinting all the labels and placing them on the other side. now they are more the plenty strong they don't move at all and the job wonderfully. just make sure that you use the correct side and aren't trying to hold something that magnet of this type isn't intended to hold and you won't have any problems.
