I love linguine and this is a great tool for making it. I need to use a dryer dough (more flour) than I use for most of my noodles because the strands will stick together if I use my standard dough. That is not a problem. The results are great. Great for Asian-style noodles such as lo mein noodles.

It arrived with the appearance of the box that it had been through a war or even used as the box was taped and frayed. Also one of the rods and combs was separately included which I managed to assemble with minimal difficulty and the whole thing fits tightly onto my Mercado pasta maker. So Im very happy with it-makes great pasta and its from Italy.

Works great with my Marcato Atlas 150. You won’t be disappointed with Marcato equipment.

The third linguine attachment works!First one: handle did not fit properly into the attachment.Second one: handle did not fit properly into the attachment but I wanted to try to live with it because it did turn. The handle kept falling on the floor which meant having to protect my wood floor. The linguine came out perfectly. But then, the rods that are supposed to come out to facilitate cleaning would not come out. I tried really hard and used a piece of rubber to try to get them to budge, but no luck.I love the Marcato Atlas 150 machine, the fettucine attachment, and the spaghetti attachment. I am good at making pasta dough. Never once had problems. The linguine attachment has been a major quality-control issue. The one-star rating is because it took three tries to get a good linguine attachment.Update: despite several tries, the linguine noodles come out in pairs that have to be separated by hand.

I love linguine! The noodle maker did not come with the linguine attachment. So, I bought the linguine cutting attachment for ~$35 (seems to be on sale perpetually from the $58.99 list price). This linguine attachment is made of very thick gauge alloy steel and it works very well. Just follow the instructions from the manufacturer and you will produce masterpieces every time. Keep the dough dry as possible and nothing will stick to it. I did not know this but, some noodles are simply square cut from the flattened dough. Linguine is different. It is molded into an oval cross section as the flattened dough goes through the cutter. Just thought I would share.Seems very sturdy. It should last a long long time. It appears to be really durable and solid. Reeks of quality. When we visited Italy, an Italian complimented me by saying that Americans make great athletic clothing and shoes. Well, I say that Italians make great cars and noodle makers!

The pin behind is supposed to slide out easily for cleaning but it doesn't. Perhaps my thumbs are not strong enough. I have to disassemble the casing to take the pin out. Otherwise it works. But the cleaning is a pain

This is a review of the linguini attachment. This attachment does not come with the Marcato basic system -- I purchased it as an addition. This cutter attachment DOES NOT fully cut the pasta. The other cutting attachments, (tagliolini, fettuccine) work perfectly. But the linguini attachment fails to cut at least a third of the pasta sheet into proper strips. It makes the indentation of a cut, but does not compete the cut. I have tried different thicknesses of pasta sheets -- from 3 to 7. It is all the same. Looking around the internet, this seems to be a common problem. There is no adjustment to fix it. It as as it is. And so, I seldom use this rather expensive cutting attachment.I have contacted the maker. No response. I have searched the internet. Common complaint. So I stick with basic tagliolini, and fettuccine cuts for my egg pasta. And I make sheets of pasta for ravioli. But I do wish I had the linguine cut -- which is why I purchased this attachment, I like the linguini size. (That aside, I love my Marcato pasta maker. I have used it for years, it remains beautiful, works well, and makes me happy to use -- as long as I am not trying to cut linguini. This attachment makes me scream, "not doing the job".)

Eccellente aggiunta a Multipast-150! La mia famiglia è molto felice di questo acquisto. La pasta è il piatto preferito della nostra famiglia. Con questo coltello, tutto il lavoro è fatto facilmente e rapidamente, non c'è bisogno di farlo manualmente (come era prima). Fatto qualitativamente e in modo affidabile! Il mio consiglio per questo prodotto !!!

When one considers, that this linguine-making accessory is not simply a cutter, but a mold-extruder as well, you'll be far more satisfied with this product. Notice, in the photo below, that the shape of the noodle is an oval, as it should be; and that the dough needs to be of a specific thickness to produce that trait, much like that of the Mercato spaghetti attachment. Any thinner than, say, setting "3" and the result will be flattened and incompletely cut. Just ensure that the dough sheet is well-kneaded on settings "0-3" -- folded in thirds or whatnot; and that the sheet is floured, just before being cut. My go-to recipe for standard pasta is:500 grams AP, semolina, "00"; or an 1:1:1 mixture of all three flours5 Large Eggs2.3 grams Salt15 ml Olive OilIn no time, you'll be scrubbing clams and making sugo . . .
