I bought this and when i arrived i make my own gnocchi, i can say it did the work im glad it came with two boards my daughter helped me and i save a lot of time .. after i cooked them still keep the shape so im glad with my purchase 😊

I love love love this set of gnocchi rollers !I make my own gnocchi. I make a double recipe and bag and freeze it. I’ve always just used a fork to get the “lines “ in each little dumpling. A fork works ..yes…but not nearly as consistently as this little tool set does .Yesterday I made a batch of gnocchi using a recipe using ricotta cheese instead of potatoes . I guess this would be more a cavatelli dough. That said . It’s more tender and makes such a nice tender product when cooked .I found that I had much better results with this recipe using the gnocchi rolling board and the rolling tool.I dusted the rolling board lightly with flour before using it. I would drop a cut dumpling on to the board. Rolled it down with my hand or the rolling tool , and I could easily drop it right off the board ( no sticking! ) onto a parchment line baking sheet . Perfect!This tool set honestly made making the gnocchi so easy and quick .They came out great . Ready to be frozen and bagged!The quality of the tools is very good. I like that they came with a ring so that after use they can be hung together , so no losing or having to dig in a drawer for all the tools. I quick brush off and rinse with clean water and it is ready for the next time I make gnocchi .The price for this product was very reasonable .I am so happy to have come across this set . Would very much recommend !

You don't really need a Gnocchi board to make gnocchi, but this board does make the process simpler. For years, I just used the back of a fork. The fact that this kit comes with two bamboo made boards means you can invite a friend to help. Note: The rod is for other pasta. I only make gnocchi. The boards, like I say, are made of bamboo. Bamboo is a very strong wood that is also water resistant so will not create problems because of the tight grain in the bamboos woods fibers. The main thing in making gnocchi is to first identify who will be the head gnocchi maker. You can identify this individual because he/she is in charge of cutting the gnocchi so that person gets the board with the beveled long edge. The other board goes to niece, nephew, or whoever is helping Nanna.Now you will need a recipe, and if you have never shaped a gnocchi with the gnocchi board, then you need to watch a video. So I give you the recipe and you go and watch a video.------------------------------------------Potato Gnocchi (For Soup)3 pounds large baking potatoes2 large eggs1 large egg yolk2 cups all-purpose flour2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves2 teaspoons kosher salt, plus more as neededFreshly ground black pepperUnsalted butter, at room temperature, as needed--------------------------------------------------------------Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.Wash the potatoes, prick them with a fork and place them on a sheet pan. Bake them until very soft, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (Resist roasting them at a higher temperature to speed up the process--you want the skin and flesh just inside the skin to become crusty.)Cool them slightly and scoop out the insides. Rice the scooped potato with a ricer, or mash them with a fork.Place them in a bowl and cover with a damp cloth to retain their heat.The potatoes must be used while they are still very warm.Beat the eggs and yolk lightly together in a small bowl. Add them to the potatoes along with the flour, rosemary, salt, a few grinds of freshly ground black pepper.Mix gently with your hands until all the ingredients are well incorporated and the dough is smooth.Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured flat surface. Lightly knead and add a little more flour if the dough is overly sticky.Let the dough rest for 10 minutes, uncovered.Roll the dough into thin 1/2-inch thick logs and cut into 1/2-inch pieces.Using a generous amount of flour, press each piece against your thumb tip to make a dent or roll it over the back and off the tip of a floured fork tines to make the traditional ridged shape.Place the finished gnocchi on a lightly floured sheet pan. Cook them as soon as possible in boiling salted water. (For every 5 quarts of water add 2 tablespoons of kosher salt.)IMPORTANT!Add the gnocchi to the boiling water a few at a time. Too many and the will turn to mush. When they rise to the top, let them cook for a minute or two and then remove them with a slotted spoon. Drain well and toss with butter.

Gnocchi Maker Board Set Authentic Italian Pasta Shaper Tools. 1 Gnocchi/Butter Paddle, 1 Gnocchi/Cutter Paddle, 1 dough roller pin. Bamboo Wood. Garganelli, Cavarola, CavatelliI love gnocchi, but struggled to make them at home without the proper tools. Hopefully, this KneadEat set will help with that. The set includes two grooved boards, one of which has a tapered side that also functions as a cutter. There is a thin rolling pin/dowel and a sturdy metal binder ring. All the pieces have holes to enable them to fit on the ring, keeping all the pieces together. The components can also be used to make garganelli (somewhat similar to penne, but made with fresh pasta dough), cavatelli (a ridged pasta that is shaped like a narrow shell) and shaped butter balls. According to the description, you can also use the paddles in place of a cavarola, though cavarola boards typically have more intricate designs.The boards/paddles are made from single pieces of bamboo. Although the tops of the grooves are smooth, the inner portions look quite rough. They might accumulate excess dough, but you can use the other one to scrape it out and clean it. The pieces need to be cleaned by hand and are not dishwasher safe. They will probably need to be oiled periodically.There are no instructions included with this product, but there is a QR code that will take you to a few recipes. The one problem that I have with this set is that there is no indication in the description or on the box as to where this “Italian Designed” is made. I actually had to search other sellers in countries outside of the United States to discover it is made in China.All in all, this is a decent product at a modest price. If it works as described, we will be eating lots of homemade gnocchi.

Easy to use and store. If you want to make homemade cavatelli, you gotta get one of these.
