I like making large batches of pasta to freeze and eat later. The rack has plenty of room for a lot of pasta. It folds easily and keep it in the box it came. Takes little space when folded. The tool that comes with it for grabbing the pasta from the machine makes it very easy to hang the pasta on the rack rods. I also use it to remove the pasta when dried and ready to boil.Is nicely build and feels sturdy when setup.

This has helped me so much. I make my own pasta at home because I love fresh pasta and like to use organic flour and have a higher protein content and more fiber by using a 1/2 unbleached white flour to 1/2 organic whole wheat flour. I also do not use eggs and only a small amount of salt and a dribble of fine extra virgin olive oil. I use my Gourmia pasta amazing and a Marcato Atlas to help me with this formidable task. I sometimes extruded it onto a plate and sometimes the pasta would stick when it boiled and was not perfect. Since I purchased a Marcato Atlas Pasta Drying Rack I have been able to make perfect pasta, since it is separated neatly. The wand I also use for when I make my homemade low fat salad dressings as a pusher to quickly get the dressing down the narrow aperture as it fits down my narrow funnel that fills my dressing bottle. The wand I did not realize would be plastic but it is. It would be nicer in crystal which is why it did not get 5 stars. It does have an opening at the top that is straw-like so it can hold a small amount of water to help with perfect dough making. I feel this would be better if it also has a cap as it is open at the top and then there is more cleaning if used to hold water. The legs which are gorgeous gleaming metal tripods with rubber non skid bottoms sometimes fall down after they are compacted and closed if the unit is placed on its side and then if out displayed it does not look its best. This problem can be solved by the addition of three small thin triangle magnets placed on the underneath part of the plastic that the legs touch neatly when are folded closed and pushed up for storage. I will probably purchase some magnets and do this myself on mine when I fit it in. These wands can also work as giant milkshake stirrers for those who sometimes make giant, healthy super low fat milkshakes like myself. I use my homemade organic soymilk or almond milk and mix with just a little low fat vanilla or other ice cream. Sometimes I add my homemade seltzer and soda syrup for a healthy ice cream soda and me and my spouse also sometimes drink a small one with a little fruit juice mixed in before our breakfast to give us that fruit juice, yummy but healthy and will not get you fat dessert high when we wake up.

Excellent, well made product that does exactly what it is meant to do. It might be a little more expensive than other pasta dryers but it looks great, folds up tidily and is well made. It greatly simplifies pasta making when you don't need to drape your pasta over every available surface :) The fact that it looks stylish doesn't impact on how well it drys pasta but it does add a bit of Italian colour to the kitchen.

This pasta drying rack was delivered last Sunday. I haven't actually used it yet, but I've watched several youtube videos that use it and decided it was a worthwhile investment if I plan to start making pasta.Really like the features of this rack, including the center wand that allows you to cleanly cut ribbons of pasta dough and also makes it easy to transfer cut pasta from the pasta machine to the drying rack. The fact that the whole thing can easily be stored flat in the original box and it doesn't take up a lot of counter space is another plus.I don't have much counter space and cannot imagine laying pasta flat in trays to dry. I'd have it scattered all over the house if I did.The rack is easy to clean. It's simple to turn the knob to fan the rods or twist them back for storage. The tripod "feet" seem to be very stable and you can hang a lot of pasta in a small space.

I'm an ex chef and avid home cook. I recently started getting back into fresh pasta and was in need of a new rack. I was hoping there was something kinda cool and innovative . There it was. It looked pretty cool but as good in practice? It was. At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, It sets and breaks down in a snap. No more difficult than an umbrella. It holds a lot of pasta. I made a four cup recipe and it held the whole thing. Cleans up with a wipe to each spindle. It's also easy to store. Great product.

I make pasta just about every week. I have made it more consistently, and with less mess, since getting this rack.Functionally, this works quite well. It suspends pasta for even drying, and the material is not sticky the way my old wooden rack could get if not well floured. Inside the center post is an ingeniously designed rod with a hollow on one side which fits the rack's rails. This allows you to transfer pasta from the machine to the tool, and then you put the tool on top of the rack's rail, and then rotate it off to the side, neatly and quickly transferring your pasta from machine to rack without folding or losing the odd strand. This may not be a new idea, but it was new to me, and I love it. Other reviewers have commented that the lower racks are too short to use well. I would agree that you have to cut the pasta shorter to fit there, but if I am able to fit pasta made from 4-6 cups worth of flour on this rack no problem. In storage, this rack cleans quickly and packs flat. The whole assembly can be completely disassembled for more thorough cleaning, and reassembles easily and quickly.Highly recommended.

Pasta making is something we are just beginning to get serious about so I started to order the less expensive wood models rather than shelling out the extra for this upgraded drying rack. However, at the last minute the 4/3 promotion on the other rack was cancelled and the reviews were mixed so I opted instead for this one (4/3 promotion helped reduce the cost too!).Glad I did! This is a one piece system that sets up in less than a minute - ditto for storage. No need to chase after different parts or worry about stability. The base opens like a tripod for stability. The top spins to open all the arms plus there is a built-in lifter. Very easy to clean, super simple to store and a sturdy build make this a pleasure to use. Should be the last one you will need to buy and provides plenty of space to make extra pasta.
