Best ceramic grinder I have tried! I've gone through several over the years. In most other ceramic grinders, there is a plastic tab attaching the grinder to the shaft, which breaks. This grinder has metal. Also, it has a mechanism to prevent the grind size from gradually changing as you grind. It's also a good size, no need to fill it multiple times to make a large pot of coffee, and the crank is long enough to give you good leverage. The glass container is easy to clean. Overall a great grinder!

I was really hoping this coffee grinder would be easy to use because I don’t always want to use all my strength for a double shot of espresso. I’ve only been using it on pre ground coffee to get it to a finer espresso grind, but it’s worked great! makes great espresso even with probably mediocre beans. I actually really enjoy manually grinding them. it’s very easy to adjust and I do believe that the burr itself (the piece that actually grinds everything up? if that’s what it’s called) is porcelain, not plastic as some people had said. It’s also kinda cute in my opinion, and I really appreciate the extra jar. The size also could be great for traveling, and it’s easy enough to take apart and clean that you could use it for multiple things, such as coffee and different spices. 10/10 worth it!

My electric one broke so i decided to get a burr hand grinder. Its a lot more work. I thought it was broke at first because it took so long to grind the coffee. Now that im used to it, i like the way the grinds come out exactly the same each time. The electric one i had to guess. I like that I can pick it up and hold it while grinding instead of having to keep it on the counter. Holding it makes it a lot easier and faster. So far i havent had any major issues in the quality. The knurreled nut that holds the grind handle comes loose a little too often and is a little harder to get the nut started on the threads than it should be. Other than that, it works fine for what i paid for it.

Meh. It works but not ideal. Takes forever to grind. Definitely a good arm workout.

I like to start with the packaging and packing. Exceptional on both counts. This grinder comes with two glass bowls and both were double-packed with air bubble wrap!Truthfully, was not expecting this hand grinder would be large enough but here again, was completely surprised by its generous size. I was given an electric coffee grinder, no names, as a gift but could not understand why it was small. Grinding 1 pound of coffee, or anything thing else would take days, and who has that kind of time to spend with undersized appliances?I gifted someone else with the thing! Now my review. Impressive for the size and I like to grind my spices, not coffee. And has two generous-sized bowls, with a non-skid rubber bottom wrap to keep it steady; and a large crank handle, perfect!Adjusting the grinder to accommodate fine and coarse.......... the other electric that I gave away didn't have that, which is another plus.In short, this grinder has many pluses! Lastly the price. Super!Don't take my word for any of this, but when you buy one for yourself, you will instantly appreciate this perfect little kitchen machine.I like the neat kitchen stuff and this grinder certainly qualifies! Thank you!Post Script: I buy all my spices from a company in San Francisco in bulk, that way the freshness is guaranteed. No one knows how long those little grocery store bottles have been warehouse-shelved. Freshness is important when cooking to get the maximum recipe flavor.I am no chef by any means but if I am going to cook, lets do it right. Therefore, I filled half the grinder bowl with Black Lampong Peppercorns from Indonesia; and adjusted to shaft counterclockwise for a slightly coarse texture. Effortless and steady. The aroma and the evidence of some peppercorn oils were unbelievable.Final analysis...................I am going to enjoy my new kitchen grinder. This was a great purchase. Thank you Amazon for a very good find!

Got this to grind coffee beans for my pour over coffee. I’ve never bought a spice/coffee bean grinder before and wasn’t exactly sold on buying an electric one. I’m usually the first one up in the morning so the idea of something screaming while everyone else in my house is trying to sleep pushed me towards a manual grinder. This one has a nice long handle that makes the leverage for grinding beans effortless and the flexible silicone top makes filling the top super easy. It comes with a jar to attach to the bottom of the grinder that’s made of glass and one to store your whole beans or ground beans if you don’t feel like doing it every morning. The long and the short of it is that it grinds the bean to a perfect texture/size and it’s not a pain in the butt to use. I would def recommend to friends and family starting out with wanting to make their perfect cup of coffee.
