This versatile and "portable" TurboShear requires less force than other slate-cutting methods. An operating speed of 1400 to 2000 RPM ensures optimal performance and control for making fast straight, angled or curved cuts in 4mm to 8mm natural roofing slate. Cutting slate with finished side up produces an authentic-looking, hand-cut appearance. A padded skid plate prevents scratches to the exposed slate finish. A streamlined, lightweight aluminum shear head and telescoping drill clamp make this compact attachment adjustable for both length and width of the drill housing to go where the work is. Smooth, easy one-hand operation always leaves a free hand to steady the work when making cuts on a bench or rooftop. Cut thousands of linear feet of roofing slate quickly and easily all season long. You can even rotate the tool's skid plate to maximize acceptable cutting life. And the long-wearing blade and skid plate are also easily replaced on the job.

The quality isn’t great and it’s wobbly on the driver but it does the job and is handy. It’s too hard to control for real quality work and the way the shavings are extracted you soon can’t see you marks it lines. It’s way too expensive for what is it but it worked in a pinch when we didn’t have a real slate scissors. Not sure how long this will last.

if you are doing a slate roof you need this product. Works well giving a real nice edge when you have to cut slate.

Easy to use this cutter.I have used hand cutters but you get very sore hands with this device its quick and easy.i find this product to be of a very top quality .If your a roof slater this is a must to try.
