Purchased the RexLeLXB Cordless Metal Shear Tool only that will use DeWalt lithium batteries. Worked great to trim a piece of 26 gauge zinc coated sheet metal that I used as a cover on a wood shelf on a welding table. Just to test it I also cut a 2x6 joist hanger in half, It struggled a bit but did cut it. Device works good, blade seems initially sharp, time will tell how long that lasts. Device does seem to hold a slight charge after removing battery (capacitor?). But you can discharge that by turning it on and pessing the trigger and the light will bleed it out (do this with no battery in the device). So far with limited use am very happy with it. With the larger AH batteries if you are cutting a long section one end will hit the battery but it's easy to just push it down out of the way.

This thing feels sturdy with metal in all the right places. Cut through thin metal, heavy plastic and dense cardboard. It cut through some branches pretty easily. I will need to update after further use but so far is is doing what it should.

As a home remodeler we do some but not a lot of sheet metal work. I was intrigued by this tool, so I got it. Anxious to try it out, I searched around for some sheet metal to try it out on. I had none I wanted to destroy, but I did have some very high density 10' long cardboard that some heavy steel pipe (approx. 200 lbs) came in yesterday. The listing said it would cut plastic and cardboard, so I gave it a try. As expected, it sliced through the strapping with ease. Now, on to the cardboard. As I said this is high density stuff. It ain't your Amazon cardboard box material. You could never cut through it with a knife. This tool went through it like it was paper. I cut the box into several manageable sections. This tool operates smoothly, unlike some off-brand tools I have that just sound and feel like the mechanisms aren't going last long.
