Easy to use, easy to assemble and designed well. Cuts through aluminum flashing like butter with a very clean cut. Downside is it takes two hands to operate so you cannot hold your work piece at the same time.

While I haven't actually used these, my husband has really liked them. He works a lot in his shop and said they have really come in handy. Easy to use and he feels they are good quality and will hold up for a long time.

Arrr arr arr! Let me tell you, these shears are MORE POWER! đȘđ© If youâve ever fought with dull tin snips or struggled to get clean cuts on metal, you need to throw those wimpy tools aside and let these bad boys CHOMP through anything in their path.Iâve been using them to fabricate raised garden beds, from slicing up custom cardboard liners to tackling wire mesh, metal coil, tomato cages and even cattle panels. The way these things chew through material is like Pac-Man on a power pelletânom nom nom, straight through! đïžNow, letâs talk performance: itâs not the speed of a chainsaw, but itâs way faster than hand snips and saves your hands from cramping up. Since it attaches to your drill, the only real limit is your drill battery lifeâso make sure youâre charged up before going full Tool Man mode.Whether youâre a pro, DIY warrior, or backyard builder, this is a lifesaver for clean, controlled cuts. Less sweat, more results. ARRR!

These shears cut the intended materials well. This is basically the head piece from a powered sheet metal shear. It works better than the "can opener" style sheet metal cutter and will handle thicker materials. It requires two hands to operate this cutter (one on the cutter handle and one on the drill handle). That means the piece being cut must be clamped down and the off cut is left to flap around. For $15 more, you can get a dedicated metal shear. Here is the cost comparison: - "Can Opener" style sheet metal cutter - $20Limited cutting capability in steel - This metal shear attachment - $35Cuts sheet steel up to 1.5mm... Two hand operation. Generally good reviews. Cuts well, but is not as easy to use due to two handed operation. - Dedicated metal shear - $50Cuts sheet steel up to 1.5mm... One hand operation. Generally good reviews. For $15 more dollars you get a tool that allows a free hand to control the off cut or hold the piece being cut.I'm going to take this cutter and make a bracket for an old drill and convert it to a dedicated cutter. The time and materials for making the bracket will probably be in the $100 range. I should probably just drop the money on the dedicated cutter but I like fabricating things.

time saver for cutting sheet metal. Kind of clunky in size for how small the actual cutter is

Works on thin sheetmetal and some tin. this is NOT a nibbler, so you will have to follow the corregation when cutting. Not sure how long it will last due to the cutting is about 1/2 inch per cycle. Feels weight of good quality. Worked fine on tin i used for a roof bought from home depot but kept having trouble with thick old tin that i had. Works great on aluminum siding but you would still need shears for gutter work.

Never heard of this type of device before, I've always used metal shears for all my sheetmetal needs. It's a good idea, and makes the job much easier. Straighter cuts, too.
