I'd buy this again if I needed another 1/2 drill. This is a beast.

The performance is outstanding,it's powerful enough to tackle heavy-duty jobs while still being precise for lighter tasks. The variable speed control allows me to adapt to different materials easily, which is a huge plus. I also appreciate the lightweight design, making it easy to handle during longer projects. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid electric drill!

Great upgrade after using a larger hammer drill on slow drill mode to mix things for years. Lots of torque, and well constructed.

I’m mixing mortar and laying cement board prior to tiling. The torque of this drill mixes (small to medium) batches of Mortar with ease. Although I am reluctant to mix a large batch (as I don’t want to burn out the motor), for what I’m doing, this is a terrific drill.

Drill works fine. 2 things i dont like. Is the thread in handle threads into plastic. So i dont bother with it knowing it will easily be broken off. The rear handle spins. So its not much to hold onto. I use it for mixing joint compound and self leveling cement. And does fine. It has the power to do the job. My only gripe is the handles.

great product but some body took the replacement brushes, I guess they needed them more than me?

Seems to be a high quality, heavy drill...Have some concern about the trigger lock function... do not understand why they put it on. I may put a plate over it to make sure we don't accidentally lock the trigger and then get a bit locked...resulting in the drill twisting - which happens all the time when drilling 3/8" plate like we do.

I burned up (literally, with smoke and all) two other drills before this one. This drill is geared so the motor can work all day without overheating. It's a variable speed also so it's perfect for mixing all types of materials. I used it exclusively for mixing cement and it was so much better than working with a cheap drill.

I bought this for mixing 5 gal buckets of concrete for a washroom build in my basement. I didn't want to mix concrete in the garage (temperatures too cold and carrying buckets of mixed concrete too heavy). This Makita tool is working flawlessly. It is more than powerful for the job and the speed range is perfect. I have never been let down by Makita in the almost 40 years I have been using them.

Extremely powerful drill/driver that is an outstanding value at this price. Just remember to hang on tight as it is professionally powerful and in my opinion could give someone a very nasty jerk if you’re not familiar with the power in this type of tool. Otherwise, hard to imagine a heavy duty DIY drill/Driver job this couldn’t do.
