Made this work as a replacement for the plastic flag that deteriorated on our box. Drilled a couple new holes in the metal base to fit the original holes. Touched up with spray paint. Better than new.

The holes do not line up with the standard mailbox, however if you have a metal drill bit, it works.

the fact is that i had purchased the plastic stick 0n one and it feel off over nightso i purchased the bolt on one and it looks great now on the mail box and it's a lot more sturdier than the plastic junk

This metal mailbox flag replaced the garbage plastic stock one that came on my mailbox. The stock plastic flag crumbled within a couple years due to sun & rain. I can tell this one will last forever... assuming my neighbor doesn't back into my mailbox.
