Your cart is empty.The Mail Boss Post Depth Extension is perfect for increasing the length of any Mail Boss steel mailbox post. The Extender is bolted inside the post at variable heights, and holes are pre-drilled at set distances of 3″ apart, allowing for a variety of installation heights. Optionally, at the bottom of the post depth extension there are 4 sets of aligned cross holes, which conveniently accomodate up to 4 sections of #4 rebar (1/2″ Diameter). I wanted to increase the foundations strength and found this reinforced rebar base (rebar sold separately) and I'm glad I did. The mail boss-box is 50lbs and wanted the base to be tough and steady. It doesn't shake of wiggle at all as I hoped for. Please don't go cheap, get the rebar. It comes with instructions how to set it up and rebar size. I hired a professional installer (Carpenter). Very impressed with the overall quality of this product. Made from heavy gauge steel with a very good quality powder coat finish. Fit my application perfectly! Would definitely buy again.

I didn't bother with this and just used a post. I'm on the country and I need a deeper install. If this would fit over a post id like it more but it's the exact size as a 4x4
