This filter flat out cannot do it's job. With the fan only set to 2 (out of 4) the filter dries out faster than it can wick water up. It is unable to do it's sole job of wicking water up for evaporation.

Works fine, at a significantly lower cost than filters from the humidifier manufacturer. Don't yet know how's long these filters last. We're pumping ~5 gallons per 24 hours. Manufacturer's filters matched to our water lasted about 3 months. This replacement is beginning month 2, so we'll see. If this filter is effective through 2 months, it'll be a bargain compared to the high priced brand.

We have to replace ours every 1-2 months. Buying these online is very convenient as they are not always available at our local stores.
