Absolutely surprised by its sound performance. I think it is a must have for all music lovers. Good crisp sound and bass. Very mobile and light to carry around. The only problem is the remote. I unpacked and used the product and the remote just did not work at all. I think there are many complains about remote failure for this product. I am yet to try it on a fresh battery.

I bought this product sometime back when i was actually looking for a Bluetooth speaker so that I can play with any phone, but I am happy to have bought this with a fuller sound than the available Bluetooth speakers in same price.I have an old iPod touch which i can dock. This product has Aux capability which can be used to play with other phones (though the remote feature is gone).I am trying to test this out with some Bluetooth Receivers that can be plugged on the 30 Pin iPod dock and then this speaker will be converted to a bluetooth speaker....which means I will get a very high value for a very less total cost of ownership as I can compare the sound to Bose docks (I know lows are better on Bose), but at this cost, there is no comparison.

I got this dock at a steal over its market price and it has impressed me with its performance. Plays better when plugged in, as the rear woofers only get powered when connected to the mains. I compared it to the Bose sound dock, and his sounds almost as good!No complaints for this price - it outperforms far higher priced docks.

I was really nervous about getting an iPhone speaker this inexpensive and small, but boy am I happy with my purchase.First of all, this thing is small, like maybe a foot wide (that's a good thing). It doesn't way much, is easy to move around, and the battery lasts a LONG time. I bought the bluetooth version because I hate having my phone stuck in the dock when I need to send a text message, etc., and I'm very glad of my purchase (even though it cost $30 more). Bluetooth pairing is quick and reliable. And it LOOKS GREAT.Some bitched about the foot on the bottom not locking out. This is true of the dock version (715i), but NOT on the bluetooth version. The bluetooth speaker has a spring-loaded foot that pops out with the push of a button, and it's quite sturdy (and stays out), with the hinge at the top instead of the bottom (if I remember the way the 715i's worked at Best Buy). The 715i isn't spring-loaded and, while it works fine, isn't nearly as robust. Some have said that it gets distorted at high volumes, and I haven't seen this to be the case. It sounds great quiet, but when I have parties, I crank the volume on my phone and my speaker to the max, and it sounds great...I actually can't leave it like that unless it's a very quiet song, because it's TOO loud. One thing to note about Bluetooth: that 33 foot range is definitely true. If you have your phone in your pocket, you also may get slightly less distance. My suggestion is to keep your phone somewhat close to the speaker if you're going to be moving around a lot...but at least you can still pick up your phone and change songs, send texts/emails, etc. ALSO: I'd suggest putting your phone on vibrate, as every alert tone will sound QUITE LOUDLY through the speaker.DEFINITELY a great purchase. Would have loved Airplay, since it iPhones will only send music via Bluetooth that originates on the phone or a streaming service like Pandora/Spotify (in other words, using the Remote app to play music stored on your computer won't work). This is fine, though, as its rare I want to do that.If you're unsure, go try it at Best Buy, although they usually on have the 715i. Then get it for cheaper on Amazon!

This is a great dock for the money. Compact, good sound, looks good too. I originally wanted the Bose Sound Dock because I had heard it's performance at parties, etc..but at the end of the day I just didn't feel that spending $350-500 was necessary to get what I needed. After looking at many reviews on YouTube (the best review was done by LiveTech Australia -if you want to see a really good video review with sound performance), I chose this one due to it's ergonomic design, portability, sound, and price point. The sound for the size is pretty amazing. It boasts 8 drivers (two tweeters, two mids, and four small woofers-two on the front and two on the back). It plays adequately loud even for a large room (if you have tile floors the sound carries even further) with the volume just at halfway. The remote is pretty handy, and it will work from at least 30 feet away and it controls basic functions such as skip, repeat, shuffle, power, pause and volume. This dock also comes with a carrying case (though I use the case more for storing it when not in use to keep it clean and free of the ongoing dust we have here in Arizona).A few things to mention:Some have said that they have difficulty with the flip down dock cover (also acts as the stand) supporting it. This is not an issue, you just need to make sure it's snapped and locked into place and it will be fine. You will not break it by snapping it firmly into place on the back and it has a rubber grip to keep it from sliding both while operating or playing music at loud volumes -there are no issues with it sliding from vibration, etc. This dock, though light, seems to be made very well. The look and feel of it is actually pretty durable.I cannot speak for much regarding the battery life due to having used it most when it's plugged in with the supplied adapter, though when it is unplugged it should be noted that the two rear woofers are turned off. I am assuming that this is to prolong the life of the battery if you are using it in a portable setting. Though when I did use it without the plug I was listening to Coast To Coast AM sitting on my back patio late at night, thus I didn't need extra bass for talk radio and didn't need to have it turned up very loud either. For music however, at least for an extended period of playing time, I do recommend plugging it in if you have that option so you can get the extra loudness and so you don't wear down the battery on your ipod or iphone. The dock only charges your i-device when it is plugged in.One thing I also noticed is to turn off the EQ on any device you use it with. Having a heavy bass setting does decrease volume, and I find it really doesn't help the sound reproduction overall. The unit seems to do a fine job via it's built in circuitry reproducing whatever you are throwing at it at louder volume in this manner. It is true as others have said, you will hear notes that you didn't before -it really is that clear. This dock fits most ipods, and for those of you with Droids or any other mp3 player/portable device are not out of luck either as it also sports a 3.5 mm input jack on the back panel. Also, as others have mentioned, if you are using it with an iphone or ipod, and have a protective case on, you may need to remove it in order to fit your i-device on the dock connector. Though you could probably avoid this by simply purchasing a "dock extender" cable if you wish.To sum it up, this isn't a "thumper" but it is pretty good and the sound decent for what it is. It is not as good or better than the Bose Sound Dock, so if you are expecting more "ummph" you may want to look at the higher priced sound docks. I think for most however, you will be impressed for how it sounds for the price. Certainly better than the competition in this price range. I would say after this that the next step up would be the Altec Lansing dock or the Bose, but again this will do fine for most who just want a good dock with decent sound.
