UPDATED after USING IT:Takes FOREVER to FULLY CHARGE!!Dropped 4 star rating to 3 bc when cutting the “y” or base of a branch, it’d bind or come off-track.(Original review)I’ve used it twice; once as soon as I got it (bc it was charged straight out of the box) and once more after that. HOWEVER; upon trying to charge it for round 2, it seemed like that last bar took FOREVER to charge! I mean, I plugged it in around 2 pm, fell asleep, woke up around 7, and it was STILL trying to get that last bar charged! So charge time is EXTREME whereas work time is MINIMAL. It does a good job when it is on though; just wish it lasted longer (or charged QUICKER). And the chain does seem to pop off a lot.

I like the clean design of this product, for example the use of standard USB type C plugs and chargers. The last thing I need is another proprietary charger in my garage. I had a problem with the battery not charging properly right out of the box. Litheli immediately sent me a new replacement battery. Not only that, they sent a higher capacity battery. Nicely done! Don't try to fake this though...you'll need to show video proof.

I have a saw on a pole (manual) and a ratcheting pole pruner. I bought this for the branches that are too much work to saw by hand or too bouncy. The ratcheting pole pruner is only useful for small branches, if you try too large a branch it will bind and get stuck, I've had that happen often. I got this model because of the reach, it can extend farther than others. Cost was also a factor, I didn't want to spend a lot on something that only gets used occasionally. Reading the reviews and watching a lot of Youtube reviews on pole saws in general and this one in particular I decided I'd get this one. I'm happy with how it performed. My observations echo a lot of what others have said. It's reasonably light but not flimsy. It's well designed and assembled. It can be used with the head and base for lower work and is easier to manage. For higher branches and extra reach you can insert the middle section but it's less manoeuvrable and harder to control but not unduly so. For those who complain, it's gravity and the effect of basically a reverse fulcrum, it's unavoidable. Any weight at the end of a pole will act the same way, the greater the weight the harder it is, but this device is under 10 lbs so quite manageable. By the way I'm in my 70's and managed without any problem. As for use, I did have to readjust chain tension often. At first it's because the chain will stretch but I was still adjusting it after some time so I would think it had done stretching. The tension adjustment is easy to use so it only takes a few seconds to adjust it not a big deal. I will note that while the tension adjust is easy to use because it is large it does tend to obscure the chain so it's difficult to see exactly where you are cutting sometimes. You can position it swing to the side a bit to see if in the right place then lift it a tiny bit, start the saw and lower it to start the cut. (You aren't supposed to start the cut from stop with it resting on the wood, hard on the motor.) As many have mentioned it doesn't come with bar oil you will have to buy some when you purchase it if you don't already have some. Spring/ summer weight for you know - spring and summer. If cutting in cold weather you should get winter oil, different viscosity. As for those who say it leaks oil, yes it does, it's an automatic oiler which means there is a reservoir with oil and an opening where it dribbles out on the bar and chain, it will continue to do so as long as there is oil to dribble out. If you are done pour it back into a bottle otherwise it will keep dribbling until it empty. A temporary fix is to put a rag or piece of cardboard under it to keep it off the floor. The chain speed is OK, it's much faster than the other model from this company but still has sufficient torque . Watching the videos for the other model it seemed to struggle since it was so slow.Battery came partially charge which is normal for all batteries. It doesn't have a charger you just plug it into a USB power source with the supplied cord. It lasted for the numerous cuts I had. The length of time you get will vary due to the thickness of the branches, the hardness of the wood and the number of cuts. I was cutting a locust from 1 inch to 4 inch, not super hard wood but the way they grow you have a lot of branches that die back.As for technique watch some videos. So I'd recommend this saw. It's not too heavy, reaches farther than most others, it's nicely made and does the job.

My husband was kind of "ify" when I told him I purchased this for him.We got it, charged it and after it charged he started using it. He cut some decent sized limbs off of 6 trees and it never gave him any issues and the battery lasted. He thought for sure he'd have to recharge it but it held its battery life. The only complaint he has is how heavy it is when you need it extended fully. He has arthritis and it gets a little heavy after awhileOverall very satisfied!!!

This product is excellent in design and performance. Tons of battery power, cuts like a champ. The only thing is when fully extended it is a little top heavy and takes some practice. Well done

Overall, this is a good battery-operated pole saw for occasional limbing and trimming. The battery provides ample power to the cutting head and lasts for a useful amount of time. The cutting chain and bar are of good quality, and the automatic oiler provides good lubrication to the chain. The pole is quite strong and the sections have a good connecting mechanism. There are 2 problems with this unit that keep me from providing a higher rating. 1) The bar length is a bit too short for the power available to the motor from the battery. An extra inch would add a lot to the usefulness of the saw. 2) The oiler leaks when the saw isn't being used. Lots of chainsaws do this but it's a design flaw that could be fixed.

I was hesitant at 1st when I ordered it because I have always bought gas chainsaws. Don’t be fooled by this electric saw. This has some serious power and I cut some big lower branches off a ginkgo tree that is probably almost 150 years old. It cut through like butter and i trimmed up a few more trees on the property and cut for about 2hrs and the battery was only down to 50% when I was done using it. The only thing I wish it had was a regular chain nut and a tightener. After a few cuts you will have to loosen the screw and pull the 8” bar out and tighten it down again. The chain is great at using bar oil, I filled it up and it was still good the entire way through. My gas chainsaw eats up bar oil but this thing stays lubed with a little bit at a time. Other than that I never used the strap that came with it. It is front heavy but once you have it up above your head it’s actually pretty lightweight. I read the reviews and others had issues with the chain and bar oil. I had no issues installing the chain on the bar or filling the oil. It doesn’t come with bar oil but you can get it anywhere that sells motor oil. It’s very quiet when running and very durable to cut smaller branches. If you have bigger branches than grab your gas chainsaw with a bigger bar. The functionality of this saw is great and very easy to assemble. Every piece has a power connector with a slot so you can’t mess it up. 5 star Seller ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️It took a few weeks to get it but it was well worth the wait. Lowes and Home Depot and harbor freight had them for way more $$ and I read the reviews on the name brand ones and they all have some serious issues. I used this saw and put it to the test and it’s legit tough as heck. You won’t regret buying this saw to trim trees on your property. Hopefully this helps the next person out.
