It can't handle anything bigger than 1 inch. If you try to go bigger, the thing just bounces all over the place or bites in and bogs the engine. The chain tensioner is also a problem

Wish it had a longer shaft than the 30-inch standard that everyone seems to make. In order to make it really functional as tree branch pruner, I had to purchase 2-separate tube extensions (also too short/no one seems to make them longer than 30"). Used a couple of times so far and works perfect! Now waiting to see if it would last without breaking prematurely, meeting expectations.

Works well if you are careful. The swivel/pivot is loose and of poor quality allowing the blade to bounce around while cuttingBlade so sharp that if you pressure it, it digs hard and you will stall your trimmer. If it was better built (loose rattling pivot), it would be perfect.

Works very well. I like the fact that the head can pivot at different angles, something not mentioned in the add. Chain needs tightening after about 5 minutes of use, but that's normal for a new chain.Works best with a gas powerhead. My 40V brushless strained a few times and tripped it's power safety several times on maple.

Overall product worked great. Half the price of name brand pole saw. Chain assembly is actually easy is you’re patient with directions. Wasn’t a fan of the chain so I bought a $10 chain on Amazon and cut like butter. Still giving it 5 stars since the product itself is what I was wanting. Trimmed 2 large trees with ease. Looking forward to the next project now.

For under $50, I really wasn't expecting much and not even sure it would be compatible with my trimmer. However, my expectations were exceeded and then some. Now, this is in no way a commercial unit but for occasional weekend work, this saw is awesome. For starters, it effortlessly attached to my older model Husqvarna trimmer and actually worked right out of the box. No instructions came with it, so I had to inspect and play around with it before cutting and learned a few things. First, this unit has a grease zerk and I recommend using it immediately. These units are apparently assembled and shipped without any internal grease. Second, the bar and chain oiler is a little temperamental to dial in. The adjustment pin, which is on the bottom of the unit, is spring loaded and doesn't hold it's position well. Make sure it's spitting some oil before cutting. Assembly of the bar and chain is easy and the tensioner seems to work well. I put this thing to work immediately and ran it for several hours without any issues. It cut through smaller branches (2" - 3" circumference) with no problem but I did not test it on anything bigger. Let's be honest though, this is an inexpensive Chinese tool and not something you can bear down on or abuse with heavy use. However, for light and occasional trimming, I am very satisfied. The bad reviews I have read for this unit apparently come from people with no experience running chainsaws in general. A lot of their complaints can be explained away as lack of general power tool knowledge. Time will tell how this unit holds up long term but I am very pleased with it's performance.

Working great for my Stihl Kombi engine, big save compare with Stihl attachment. I will just use one or two times a year, so I think it will be good enough.

2-year review. I purchased the sun seeker because it has a built-in pivoting head which stihl does not offer. Unless you buy multiple 15° pivoting attachments which are heavy and make the pole saw hard to use so this one is much better in that respect than the stihl. As far as the gearing and drive rod those old pair to be good quality. There are however some major problems. There was a lack of quality control. It is supplied with a bar that does not match up with the oil holes fortunately I have a milling machine and carbide bits and Cobalt bits if you didn't you would be in a bit of trouble. Second basic problem is it is supplied with 3/8 chisel style chain this chain is designed for units that are 75 to 100 cc's not for tiny little pole saws chain has way too much grab. It should be supplied with 0325 or 1/4 inch semi chisel. The quality of the oiler itself is good and the hoses are well protected by metal banding. It does fit the stihl Combi system and we'll work with stihl brand extensions. The big big problem on the quality control is that inside the head where the aluminum shaft goes there is a race for an internal snap ring that holds the gear bevel gear that accepts the square power rod coming from your power head this snap ring was not installed at the factory. Therefore the gear kept coming out of place and not making contact with the other bevel gear to drive the chain. This is a major problem since the location of the snap ring is two or two and a half inches down inside the cast aluminum it was extremely difficult to install a new snap print and I chipped the casting a little bit internally when I did even with the appropriate snap ring pliers because most snap ring pliers will not reach such a deep distance. I happen to be supplied with specialized snap ring pliers but I believe came from Mac tools most folks don't just have those sitting around and even with those very specialized snap ring pliers that still wouldn't quite reach the internal race being so deep and I had to drive it the last little bit with a screwdriver and some punches once in place the gears held together much better and it's been cutting nicely. This would have been a simple problem to avoid at the factory if they had just put the snap ring in from the opposite end prior to installing the gears. So we see a tiny quality control problem causing a major functional problem. Like I said the parts that are it is made of are excellent the gears appear to be well hardened definitely machined nicely but it's the quality control issues. Hopefully the manufacturer will read this and fix the problem with supplying a bar with whose holes do not line up for oiling and supplying the incorrect chain and fixing the quality control issue if they did those things they would have a machine that absolutely beats stihl out of water. I will say the pivot head mechanism is very reliable and better than the pivot head mechanism on any stihl brand equipment that has that for the combi.

received the item, in good order. Like previous review... It is Not Oregon bar.. but still a bar nonethelessdifference is only some paint and red lettering, may be the same thing underneath. Its not like 10" oregon bar is worth hundreds of dollars, by itself is not that much.I think this whole thing is a bargain!

For the $70 price point I paid, this item works really well at limbing up branches on my trees. It snaps right on to my Craftsman power head and does a great job at cutting up limbs. I have been able to cut up to 6" limbs with this tool without any problem. It comes with an Oregon chain and bar - which isn't a bad quality product. I didn't expect top of the line at this price point, but it does a great job for the price paid.I do with the manufacturer would offer an extension shaft to allow me to reach taller branches. I might be able to find that as an accessory, but I would definitely pay another 20 to 30 dollars for an extension shaft to get an additional 3-4' of reach.Overall, it has served it's purpose and does a nice job for the job at hand. I do recommend that you use a good quality chain oil in any saw you buy. I use Stihl bar oil since it seems to give pretty good lubrication for my chain saw bars/chains.
