This pole saw is a mighty work horse. I used it for hours cutting tree limbs of various sizes and it never failed me. To make it even better, I used only 1 battery. If you’re looking for an easy to use dependable pole saw. This is the one.

Unless you have very good arm strength, pay attention to the warnings about the weight of the saw. First, the saw is heavy. Second, almost all the weight is at the cutting end. This means when the saw is set at maximum length, almost all the weight is at the opposite end of the handle from where the user is holding the saw. This makes for excessively poor leveraging. I consider myself at or above average arm strength, but I find using the saw at maximum length requires excessive muscle strain and exhaustion. Thus, it requires taking a break after a few cuts. The saw cuts exceptionally well, and even considering the weight far surpasses a non-powered pruning saw and extension clippers. The weight is much less an issue when not cutting at a distance or when removing the extension tubes.

Excellent saw and so much safer than a pole saw and ladder. You must completely empty the reservoir when you hang it on the wall or oil is going to leak down the pole. It has plenty of power to cut hardwood.

This saw worked great on trimming my giant white bird of paradise. The tree was very overgrown with many dead palms. I used this saw for about 4 hours only stopping to clean up debris. The saw never quit on the first battery. I simply couldn't have got the job done without it! We'll see how well it holds up after every use. You must take off the change guard, clean and oil it after every use. It gets a ton of build up behind the chain guard.

Easy to use. pole is easy to adjust length and is very sturdy even when max extension. Great battery life.

Needed to trim Magnolia tree branches away from power lines and more importantly incoming internet cable. lol! Trying to get to it before the power company does. I have my fair share of Dewalt 20v tools as they are my livelihood and make life easier on the job and at the crib. This saw is no different as Dewalt Doesn’t Disappoint, triple D! Cut thru 3” branches like butter and didn’t bog down. Tried new power stack batteries in it too and was impressed. Cleaned up around utility lines with ease flat footed with only 1 led lit up from battery right out of the package.

I have multiple DeWalt 20v cordless tool and batteries and have for the most part been very happy with them, so I decided to but their pole saw when I needed one. It is simple to assemble and operate, and with the center pole attachment has good reach. It has also had surprisingly good power and cutting ability. I used it to take down most of the dead Hawthorne tree beside my driveway with no problem on the dead dry wood. Soon after I found one of my neighbors trees had grown over to the point it was damaging my roof and being careful(and experienced) I was able to trim it back off the house to a point it will take a long to be a problem again. After both those projects and others the 5Ah battery still had plenty of charge. There is a downside though, first when the saw is fully assembled the pole is fairly wobbly, but I have read that is common with electric pole saws. The other less than ideal thing with this saw is the weight. I have developed serious health issues this year, and they have left me very weak, with a loss of 60 % of my diaphragm usage and therefore 60% of my lung capacity, and partial paralysis in both arms so the weight is a serious issue, but by pre-planning and improvising supports I have been able to use it fine, and it does work well. The batteries last surprisingly long, and if you have the chain spinning before contacting the wood to be cut, it never bogs down or stalls...at least that is how mine is.

I recently came into a 59 acre farm and have lots of work to do. I was a bit worried about the idea of a battery powered pole saw but decided to give it a try. So far it's worked well. I've cut with it a couple of days as I ride fields and/or driveway doing other task and the battery has made it through each day (note that I'm using a 6Ah battery starting with it fully charged each day) You can stall the saw pretty easily but it's just a matter of pulling it out of the limb when it stalls and restarting the cut and it cuts right through. It's not light weight but it's a lot lighter than the gas powered one I had been using so all in all I'm happy with the purchase. I do like the idea that I can leave one section of the pole off and have around an 8' pole which works for most of my needs and makes the saw much easier to handle.

Great chain saw for reaching higher places in lawn trees. I trimmed mine and my neighbours on 1 battery. Saw stayed sharp and cut very well.

This is one of the best tools I have purchased, it works great, a person can get arrived away trimming. It arrived on time, Dewalt could use a little more packaging protection. I had no issue, but a bit rougher handling could have been a problem.Hopefully it holds up for my use.

Works great, heavier than I thought it would be. But it seems like it’s built strong.
