This unit is lighter than the more expensive disc locks, but it seems plenty strong and the alarm works fine. For the price it's a bargain. The dealer in town charges 3 times the price.

The alarm is surprisingly super super loud. ONLY THING I am struggling with is remembering to take it off the bike before trying to drive off. What can I do.thay will.ensure that I don't forget it's there? Otherwise it's amazing

good volume and good sensitivity!this is an Alarm not a one stop lock so don’t be mad if your item still gets stolen. i pair it with other locks and it does it’s job !

I love this thing! I bought the bright reminder cord to give it yet another level of protection. First, the bright cord is a visual means to let someone know the hub is locked. If they move the bike, the alarm beeps, warning that person. Thirdly, if they do it again, it has a very annoying shrill alarm that is different sound that say a car alarm, so you can identify it as your bike. And lastly, the drum is locked so they can't roll it away. Short of picking the thing up while the alarm is going off and heaving a large 50lb Ebike into a truck bed, the bike won't be going anywhere. I do use the heavy duty chain lock on it as well if I will be out of earshot, but if running into the coffeeshop or something, I don't have to find something to lock it to. Very convenient. And you don't need the key to set the alarm, just reach down and push the button on the drum and done. The key is only for opening it. Heavy duty. Nothing I don't love about this lock!

Works great but doesn't take much to set the alarm off. The lightest touch will set it off. I wish it was slightly less sensitive but worth the price!

Seems very tough and is quite loud. The lock feels well made and the keys are smooth and work well. Feels like much better quality than you'd expect for the price. The only issue I had is if it's very gusty out, the alarm can be triggered. Had a few storms where I woke up to the alarm going off. Not a big deal. The rest of the time it is just sensitive enough for my peace of my mind.
